21.01.2022 When Jensen started vomiting and was very lethargic, we got worried and took him to see the Vet They discovered a mass in his stomach, and he went into surgery where the Vet found between 50 and 80 hair ties and rubber bands. The Veterinary surgeon had never found that many inside a cat! Jensen's surgery went well, and he is all recovered now, which is such a relief. It was also a massive relief to know we had RSPCA Pet Insurance that covered most of the cost associated wit...h his surgery and care. It meant that we didn't have to make the impossible [choice] as to whether we could afford to pay more than $5,000 in Vet bills. The Vet even lodged the claim for us and the refund for the surgery came into our account within five days. It goes without saying that we now keep all hair ties and elastics securely stored in sealed containers. And that Jensen is still with RSPCA Pet Insurance. Sandra, proud pet parent and RSPCA Pet Insurance customer, July 2020. Read their full story at http://ow.ly/bgfR50BnHyL #PetSure #PetTale #Testimonial #RSPCAPetInsurance

08.01.2022 This is Ruby my Miniature Dachshund 12 weeks after IVDD surgery, full recovery and sassy as ever! Just wanted to share a happy recovery story to give some people hope as I know how hard this experience can be! IVDD was something I had read about before getting a Dachshund but always thought that wont happen to my dog! Luckily, I was covered with Pet Insurance Australia and could get Pre-approval for Rubys surgery before she went in to make sure everything was covere...d. I was rebated 80% of her Vet bills which was a huge help! As the bill was around 14k in total with the surgery, Xray, MRI, CT and one week stay in the hospital. Pet insurance helped me so much, I would not have been able to afford the surgery otherwise! We are so grateful that Ruby has fully recovered Her life is definitely not as free as it was, but she is still very sassy, happy and constantly sun baking! 05.01.2022 Our beautiful big goofball greyhound Archie took unwell quite suddenly and after our fantastic Vet (Turramurra Veterinary Hospital) was able to fast track some x-rays and an ultrasound we got the terrible news that he had spleen and lung cancer. Of course, we are completely devastated as he means everything to us and to know that he is so sick is just heartbreaking. The total costs for his diagnosis and Veterinary care were over $3,000 but thanks to GapOnly [and Woolworths P...et Insurance] all we had to pay was around $700. GapOnly is fantastic and saves you the huge stress of having to lodge claims which would normally take several weeks to resolve. When your pet is as sick as Archie, having the financial strain significantly lessened has been amazing. I wish every Vet had GapOnly!! Clare & Archie, proud Woolworths Pet Insurance (Woolworths Insurance) and GapOnly customers, September 2020. Working alongside your eligible pet insurance policy (like RSPCA Pet Insurance), GapOnly provides on-the-spot access to your pet insurance benefit for eligible claims while you’re still at the Vet. That means less upfront expense on eligible claims as you only pay the amount not covered by your policy or the gap! 01.01.2022 Zaplin needed spinal surgery as an emergency on a public holiday. As he is insured, I was able to without hesitation rush him to the emergency vet where a surgeon was called in to operate within an hour. This allowed Zaplin the best prognosis for a strong recovery. As Zaplins condition was covered under his pet insurance policy, I did not have to worry about what each part of the process cost which was excellent. I also did not have to make decisions based around m...oney when my pet was in pain. He has his brother to help him recover. If I never use the insurance again, even though I will always have it, it is worth the peace of mind.
