25.01.2022 ATTENTION BOOT CAMPERS! Today at 1.00pm Virtual BOOT CAMP will be live streamed from our main page ( last minute call) We have made the decision to now do both Boot Camp sessions LIVE each week. ... This will hopefully keep you more engaged and accountable. We will still release the second weekly session early in the week for those motivated to do it from the description instead of a video or Live stream. If you miss the live stream session you can always go back and do them retrospectively. So its Sundays at 10.00am for session 1 and Wednesdays at 9.30am. (Today is 1.00pm though) hope you can make it.



24.01.2022 This was so much fun. Just like taking a Boot Camp session with people running alongside. Its a completely different take on Live stream workouts. We ran and coached intervals of running for 30minutes. ... People simply wore their ear phones / Pods and listened to the coaching cues as we ran. They didnt look at the screen while running. 24.01.2022 Hi everyone, We hope you are all well. After the announcements made regarding the tougher restrictions we must band together and fight through this next stage of Lock down.... We want as many of you to jump on our 5 week challenge...it will help you stay both physically and mentally healthy. it starts this Saturday the 8th August at 9am. The challenge will be done via our Facebook group called Para Members Online, please join if you havent yet The challenge consists of the following; 1-Myzone challenge (this is optional for those with a Myzone belt) 3000 MEPS in 5 weeks 2-Classes quota -(12 classes either done live or retrospectively) you will get a checklist to mark them off 3-A Running or walking quota of 20klms in total by the end of the challenge 4-15 days of AFD Alcohol free days 5-Must complete 5 Reps challenges (1 each week) these will be done live on Saturdays or you can do them retrospectively To register you must opt in on the Facebook group Para Members Online then go to the Unit called (5 week challenge) We cant express how grateful we are for your continued support and hope we can keep you motivated enough to keep you training. 24.01.2022 It is now hours before gyms reopen in Victoria (Australia) - wahoooo!!! Good luck to every gym, studio & PT! Members of gyms enjoy going back to the place you... enjoy! BUT please read on as staying open is on ALL our shoulders and you must learn from the mistakes other states & countries are making post reopening! As a community service announcement/reminder for gym owners, staff and members of gyms: 1. Wipe equipment down ideally before you use it and definitely after it. 2. Use a towel for what it is there for - putting on equipment. 3. Keep your physical space. These are the guidelines. Please don't get complacent. Change your club/studio culture to comply with these rules and you'll all stay open! As a reminder for those who own or work in a gym, you are NOT above these guidelines. All staff must also follow the same rules or you're on a slipper slope. Club owners & managers, be warned as a member I don't care if you have rent paying PT's, when they workout they must comply by the same rules as we do as members or we get p****d off! They may well think these rules don't apply to them when they are working out OR for that matter when they are training clients. They may think these rules only exist when they are COVID marshalling or on the payroll. The reality is anyone wearing a uniform in your business is setting an example for all members AND members will watch their behaviour and mirror their actions - i.e. if PT's don't need to do it, then neither do I. And if they usually wear a uniform but are working out in their time off, we members still consider them staff. If you do not want to be closed down, then all employed staff and contracted staff (working or working out) must follow the rules or as owners you will not have any argument when: * You are named and shamed on social media; * Members do not comply; * Members complain; * Members cancel; * Governments close you down again. #youhavebeenwarned #youonlyhaveyourselftoblame #justsaying #rantover

Log onto Paramount health and fitness Club main Facebook page Phfc142 have your ear pods or ear phones ready and Ill coach you through it. ... If you dont want to run, you could power walk or even row or ride as it will be an Interval based session. It will be an audio based session, so you wont need to be looking at your phone. 21.01.2022 MOGA-Mobility/Yoga. What form of training do you do to prevent injury, improve mobility? We do MOGA and we love it!! ... Each Thursday at 9.30am. Men in particular with poor mobility should give this a go. It will help you move better, help you with other training such as running, all the things we do in our classes etc. If I didnt find this 2 years ago my body would now be riddled with injuries. At 48 I am in almost my best condition overall physically and contribute a lot of it to getting rid of my ignorant attitude that YOGA/Mobility was for Girls...what a dummy I was thinking that. I have seen the light and will never stop doing it.

Its time to really look at what 5 months of lockdown has done to our health. I know this sounds harsh but the only person that can dig you out of that hole is YOU! Ive had several times where I have felt defeated, useless and basically a Fucken slob!! I know this might surprise you but no one is immune. I constantly need a focus or a challenge to stay motivated and in a good head space. You might not believe this but I got up to 95kgs (thats 7kgs heavier than my usual weight) at one point cause I didnt give a fuck about what a ate or drank. I am now on the way back to where I should be because Im being better at respecting myself. If this is you, only you can change it. Its time.. I could go into the several reasons why we have not chosen to open this Monday but it would too hard to articulate. Believe me if you knew what we knew, you would be shaking your head in disbelief. ... The fitness industry has been grossly neglected and all we want is some fair treatment. The not knowing is the difficult part as we can’t even plan a timetable yet. Regardless of what they announce tomorrow we will reveal our plan to open. Be ready when we do because once we open you will need to be ready also. We say this because our entire business management systems have changed and everyone will need to accept it’s a different world we live in. All classes and visits will need to be booked online via the NEW CLUB APP. We will send you the link for this soon. Sit tight and put on 1 more kg before we open.

With Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne I am really feeling for parents and carers who are struggling to keep their kids entertained home (I know I am!) This has inspired me to offer FREE online Drawing Tutorials for Primary School aged kids. These classes are open to everyone, so if this sounds like your cup of tea I invite you to join in! Classes will run for the full 6 weeks of Stage 4 restrictions, every Monday to Friday at 3pm on Instagram. I will be teaching kids how to create a wide range of cool characters, animals, people, hand lettering and many other surprises. This is a fun and fresh way to keep your young ones engaged, enriched ..and out of your hair for a while! It doesnt look like the fitness industry will be back on its feet for a while yet (November hopefully) so you MUST (if you havent already) stop focusing on the negatives and look at what we can do instead of what we cant do. ... 05.01.2022 Just to clarify a few things about GYMS OPENING EARLY. There are too many grey areas yet but it is a small glimmer of hope. The excitement going around about ...Gyms opening early is too uncertain to take as Gospel. We need things to change to a point that reflect realistic and sustainable operating conditions. It is unrealistic for us to say we will open early on the 26 October but can only use outdoor spaces such as a Car park, cause we dont fucking have one!! (Sorry about the swearing) Also only allowing 5 people is just ridiculous and it would be impossible to facilitate enough sessions for everyone. But first, for any of this to happen there needs to be 14days of less than 5 cases on average and 0 cases with an unknown source, hmmmmm that might be difficult when theres a protest every 3rd day. Anyway keep the chin up out there and Im sure we will get there eventually. Now get on the beers.
