19.01.2022 Do you have a learner driver ready for their driving test? We all know that before the test starts the testing officer will check to make sure your car is suitable for safe use. But did you know that they also run a computer check on your car to see if there any outstanding manufacturer recalls. This includes the recall on airbags.

18.01.2022 Another interesting and challenging job to keep us on our toes. This food truck's awning and side was severely damaged. Now it is back on the road serving the community.

16.01.2022 A customer who was recently involved in an accident was telling me how they found it hard to remember what to do after the incident. Accidents shake us up causing mild shock so it's easy to forget what needs to be done. This accident check list is ideal to have handy. Keep a copy in your glove box or on your phone. Taking photos of both cars and licences is a good way to collect information quickly.

15.01.2022 Double Demerit Points start this Friday. Stay safe these school holidays.

15.01.2022 One of our more interesting repairs of late. This caravan had some side damage and also hail damage over a significant number of panels. In order to repair the damage we needed to re-skin the whole van. It now looks like new.

12.01.2022 Many hail jobs can be repaired by Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) however as hail caused the metal in the roof to stretch, this Yaris required traditional repairs. Due to the amount of damage it was necessary to replace the whole turret.

10.01.2022 Cleaning windows are a big part of detailing a customer's car and we have found this works best. Do the outside of your windows first. This makes it easier to see any dirt on the inside. We find a fine mist of water sprayed onto the windows and then wiped off with a dry micro-fibre cloth works wonders. Use glass cleaner for any stubborn marks. Clean windows help you see more clearly when driving and make your car look so much better. Clear vision is better for your safety too.

09.01.2022 When washing and cleaning cars many people like to use tyre shine for that added detail. Although using soapy water works great in removing dirt, tyre shine acts as a protective layer. Many Tyre Shine products contain Silicone. Although silicone is not harmful to your paint, a build up of silicone on your paintwork does cause issues if any repaint work needs to be done. When using Tyre Shine avoid Silicone based products and any products applied by aerosol to avoid over-spray onto your paint work. There are many water based products available which can be applied with a cloth or sponge and are better for the environment as well.

07.01.2022 Ever get smears and blurs on your windscreen when using your wipers? This means that they are either dirty or worn out. Good wiper blades help keep the outside of your windscreen clean and a clean windscreen is important for the safety of everyone in your car. Clean your wiper blades at least every 3 months to remove built up dirt and grime. You can do this by running a clean cloth along the blade. This will also let you know if your blades have deteriorated or are damage...d/chipped. Replace your windscreen blades annually. The sun can make your blades brittle causing them to deteriorate even though they haven’t been used in a while.

06.01.2022 Double Demerit points start tomorrow. Be safe on our roads.

02.01.2022 If you haven't already claimed your CTP refund, check online today to see if your eligible. New deadline the 30th September.

02.01.2022 As the number of recalls on vehicles have increased in the past few years we all need to be aware of how this impacts us all. "Many drivers aren’t aware that if they’re notified of a recall against their vehicle and fail to get it repaired, this can potentially void their car insurance." The article below explains more.

01.01.2022 With the colder mornings of winter we are often welcomed by frosty and foggy windscreens on our cars. So what is the best way to clear a foggy windscreen. Foggy windows can be an issue as they affect your vision and safety while driving. As this is caused by the air outside being colder than the air inside the car, the most effective way to clear your windscreen is to use a blast of cold air from the Air Conditioner aimed directly at the window.... Once the windscreen is clear you can slowly adjust your temperature to a more comfortable level.
