22.01.2022 https://youtu.be/zMlIL4KMlZs This is a pretty harrowing clip (foreign), of what can happen when poor workmanship and unqualified people work in an industry that they dont fully understand. It appears that a hydrocarbon refrigerant has been used on this system with catastrophic results. ... With the cost of refrigerants rising and the release of flammable refrigerants (hydrocarbons), the risks of incidents is on the rise which is frightening for both us repairing your air conditioning systems and for you who potentially could have a ticking time bomb in your house due to someone else doing the wrong thing. The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) trade has been diluted in the last 2 years with people doing between 2 day to 6 month courses and being allowed to install split system air conditioning systems under 20kw. Before these courses, a full 4 year apprenticeship in refrigeration and Air Conditioning (mechanical services) was required to do these works. Some (and by no means all), carry out repair works to systems which is something theyre not qualified to do putting both us (as repairers), and you at risk by unqualified, unlicensed works and using refrigerants that are not compatible with your air conditioning system. Always ask to see your installer or repair companies license before they carry out any works to your air conditioning or refrigeration equipment. Check out reviews on them as well. You only want the best working on your home or business.

16.01.2022 I attended a breakdown job this morning to find the outdoor unit in the awful state you can see attached. The couple had called on a "Perth based Air conditioning cleaning company" to carry out their $60 "special" unit clean. After paying the gent $140 cash, (obviously $60 wasnt the whole price), their unit was left in this state. ... I guess the moral of the story is that if something sounds too cheap, it probably is. Needless to say the customer is calling them back to do the job properly. If you want a QUALITY clean done on your ac unit, give me a call.

14.01.2022 How clean is your air conditioner? Over time air conditioning systems become dirty and can often accumulate dust and have mould growing on the fan barrel and inside the air supply air outlet (where the air blows from). This is the air blowing into your home.... Have a look inside your unit (between the louvers). If it looks dirty, give me a call about giving your unit a "Sanitation Clean". The attached photos are from a unit I cleaned today.
