20.01.2022 Family snuggles in the winter sun It might be cold out but winter light is actually amazing for photos! The sun is nice and low in the sky creating really flattering and golden light to work with for most of the day. And as the sun sets earlier in winter, sunset sessions are at a much more child friendly time. So you wont have to worry about keeping the kids up past their bedtime (and over tired toddlers!) Win!

10.01.2022 Worth the wait Yesterday with the Hausners. This session was planned for a few weeks back but when Meagan got a unfortunate hip to the face during a netball game (and ended up with a black eye! ) we thought we'd better postpone! Little Lachie was so hilarious throughout and had us all laughing with his cheeky antics and silly songs Then right when we were about to finish up the clouds parted and gave us such an epic sunset.

Over the weekend I had so much fun capturing Lisa and her beautiful family for the second time (swipe to see Harry's newborn session almost 12mths ago!!!). I really can't express enough how greatful I am for every single family and loved up couple I have the honour of capturing. So to all my past clients a big THANKYOU!

08.01.2022 Not sure what to wear for your photos? Loved the soft neutral outfits the Batey Family wore for their session! Firstly, choose something you feel comfortable in. If you feel uncomfortable you will look uncomfortable and we definitely dont want that! Please remember to keep the weather in mind too- no one wants to be freezing! ... I recommend sticking with neutral colours such as creams, browns, mustards, tans, olives whites, warm pastels and vintage florals. Think soft and natural. These tones are easy to combine and work well in any setting. Texture looks great in images too, eg chunky knits, linen and lace. A few things I generally recommend avoiding are black/dark or very bright/neon colours, as well as logos, text, and characters, as these can be really distracting in images My tip is to select your outfit first, then pick items for your family with tones that that will compliment your outfit. But avoid getting too matchy! Of course I am always more than happy to help guide you :) Just sing out! #whattowear #whattowearforfamilyphotos #whattowearforphotos
