25.01.2022 Who wants to compete in long range target shooting with your hunting rifle? Phoenix host the new Sporting/ Hunter class discipline under the NRAA SSR's which allows you to challenge yourself and rifle from 300m out to 900m at the Lower Light Rifle Range, so if this gets the trigger finger itchy feel free to send us a message and we can provide details on how to get started! 21.01.2022 To all Members, the Phoenix Target Rifle club will reopen as of this Saturday 23rd of May for club practice with Covid-19 restrictions in place. Please ensure we all follow them! Range is set for 600m. We have flags and RO duties. I have sent email with further details Programme will be updated til end of June and communicated shortly. Please take your time to read the COVID - 19 additional requirements before attending the range. I have also attached in the email. At this stage for members only, we are looking forward to hosting visitors again soon and will be sure to let everyone know when we can facilitate it! Thank You

10.01.2022 **********MORNING SHOOTING************ Hi everyone, this Saturday Nov 7th will see the start of morning shoots, this should provide some relief from the afternoon sun and maybe more favourable weather conditions. This weekend is 800m, shooting to commence 9am, Phoenix have flags so if we can have a few people help out earlier would be appreciated Cheers

10.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, we have a few people interested in coming out to the range and shooting as visitors to try out long range shooting, Phoenix welcomes visitors and wishes to give everyone the best experience in the sport we can. Attached is program for remainder of 2020 with green highlighted dates being days we can host visitors. Depending on experience, rifle calibre and confidence in rifle holding good grouping we suggest to start at the shorter ranges and work your w...ay back. We do offer a 308 club rifle for hire if this would suit you better to start off. A club match consists of two details of ten scoring shots with two optional sighters to starts so minimum rounds required is 24 however good idea to bring few extras if required to sight in for elevation etc. Equipment to bring if you have available otherwise the club has some which can be borrowed: Shooting mat Hearing protection ear muffs (ear plugs available if need be) Rear sandbag Front rest or bipod Hat and sunscreen Camping chair optional We shoot on electronic targets and plots are available for viewing online once you get home. Please enquire if you are interested

03.01.2022 This weekend seen the return to OPM’s with Loxton Rifle Club hosting the two day event. Was great to see a few people who travelled from around the state. Saturday was rimfire and centre fire hunting rifle gong challenge at 100y and 500y, was great fun. Sunday was the F Class and TR prize meeting. Two Phoenix members headed up and well done to Dale Tyler for taking first place in F Open, great shooting Dale Tyler!
