23.01.2022 Bourne Creek, Milky Way. Kilcunda, Victoria. Shot 20/06/20, Shot while out with the photography group, Perfection Photography Excursions. ... This is a series of 5 shots, blended for the foreground, where I was light painting different sections of the creek, flowing towards the ocean, also capturing the night sky, and the milky way. I also was fortunate to capture, in one of those shots, lightning, illuminating the clouds from behind, from a distant thunder storm. I then stitched a 6th shot of the Milky Way, above the foreground shots, taken from the same position. I have never attempted to blend a series of photos together before, to produce a finished image. There was a real learning curve happening for me, to then process these shots. I followed one of Nightscape Images videos, a Richard Tatti tutorial, found on Youtube, where he explains, very clearly, the process of blending images. I did have to have a couple of goes at it, before I was happy with the image you see here. It’s great to learn new skills, and I found blending very clever, and a great way to combine different shots to form one final image. Technical Stuff. Canon 70D. Tokina 11-16mm. Lens. 13.01.2022 Tidal Serene. Tidal River. Wilsons Promontory National Park. Victoria. Australia. Shot 14/03/20. We all need times of serenity and reflection in our busy lives. This was shot 2 days before we all went into COVD-19, lockdown. No doubt, this scene will have not changed all that much since then, in stark contrast, to the changes we have all had to make, throughout the world, due to the COVD-19, and one has to wonder will it ever be the same again. 01.01.2022 "Seat of Tranquility. Seaford Jetty, Victoria, Australia. Shot 06/11/2020. Absolutely wonderful, to again be able to get out with the camera, and be out full COVID-19 lockdown, however, we are still restricted to 25km radius from home, and Seaford Pier fits into our radius nicely. Was a big day, my wife and I firstly walked from Seaford to Frankston and back, a 10km walk. The plan then, was fish and chips for tea, and then hang around for the sunset at 8.00pm. This was sh...ot at 7.00pm, by then a very chilly, and strengthening wind was getting up. My better half was sitting in the car, patiently waiting for me. However, as it had already been a long day, she was tired, and I was getting very cold, and the cloud cover didn’t really promise a great sunset, so we headed home. Got home at 8.00pm, and much to my distress, the sunset was really going off, oh well, still very happy with this shot. Technical Stuff. Canon 70D. EF-S 18-135mm. f/11, ISO100, Focal Length 18mm, 154 seconds. NISI V5 Pro, , NISI 3 stop + 10 stop filters, stacked
