24.01.2022 Arghh... I miss being around my new parent's "bubble" and can't wait to see them all again. You know, that little bubble that happens when your baby first arrives - when it's usually just you, your bubs and those most closest to you, when everything you do and think about is for your baby. It really is wonderful being in their bubble - even for just a glimpse.

23.01.2022 I'm so in love with this portrait it's out of control. I don't have any portraits of me with my babies - and it's seriously one of my biggest regrets. You just never get another chance. Little Sebastian here made an early appearance at 34 weeks - so it was a beautiful moment capturing this with his Mumma. Kara and Sebastian - 29 days old

19.01.2022 Wow in what a strange world we now find ourselves living! I hope you have all been remaining safe and well. I wanted to say a huge personal thanks to all of those people who are contributing to help keep my family, and the majority of us safe - of course the doctors, nurses, hospital staff, the scientists doing the testing, and the first responders - almost go without saying but still should be said. But also my children's school teachers, my shop assistants, my garbage col...lector, my water deliverer, my electricity company workers, my husband's employer, my gas workers, my post office workers - so so many people out there helping keep my family happy, isolated but safe and well during this time. After slowing down over the Christmas holidays to spend time with my little kiddies, I had all of these grand plans to start ramping things back up for year. Then like everyone else - the world decided differently. I miss seeing my beautiful babies in the studio, and chatting to tired yet excited parents about their adventures in becoming a new family. I've sadly had to cancel sessions that I knew families were excited about. But I've also enjoyed taking a moment just to take a breath, spend more time with #1 hubby as he works from home, and gather my thoughts (well in between keeping the kids occupied of course!). I hope everyone is taking some time to grab out that camera hidden in their cupboard, and continuing to document life as we know it over these next few months. They will be photos we'll all be sharing with future generations in years to come! And better yet, if the kids are old enough - show them what a "real camera" looks like and get them to have a go. I'm still taking some limited outdoor family sessions, and headshot and business branding to keep me busy. But in the meantime I'll continue to share some older portraits that I never got around to sharing before - in between crafting paper flowers / robots / dinosaurs and cleaning out every cupboard in my house of course..... xx See more

17.01.2022 Yeeeyyyyyyy! As restrictions start to ease off a bit - it's awesome to think that hopefully some time in the near future I can start photographing babies again. In the meantime, it's awesome that pregnant mummas can still come in for their gorgeous glowing maternity portraits.

07.01.2022 I know Mum & Dad are very excited to have this as one of the canvases they've chosen to put on their wall. I absolutely love this and it's one of my favourite set ups for parents. 06.01.2022 It's Fri-yayyyy!!!!!!!!!! Who else is excited for a weekend? No school drop off and pick up for 2 days - that's what makes me excited as an adult with young kids. Oh how times change.

04.01.2022 3 years ago I invested in a 1:1 mentoring session with an incredible internationally renowned newborn photographer, Kelly Brown. 3 years later, it's still so inspiring to attend a workshop with Kelly and think about how I can incorporate what she teaches into my own little business. My mind is in overdrive!
