Leading lines: When photographing landscapes, I like to spend a bit of time walking around looking before I even take any shots. What I'm searching for is a composition with strong leadings lines. I believe this technique is one of the most important facets of a great landscape image.

16.01.2022 Last night's storm chasing effort. I got there a bit late, and I'm no storm chasing pro like the other guys around town, but I'm happy with this one. The idea behind this was to get a recognisably Darwin location with lightning in it, instead of just a generic lightning shot. I do like a challenge I guess :)

15.01.2022 Crazy lightning storm last night, I was busy putting Alice to bed however so I didn't get any myself... so instead here's a shot at the top of The Remarkables in Queenstown instead! My colleagues bought me a helicopter ride for my 30th birthday, the peak is 2.3km above sea level - the view and the experience at the top was amaaaazing!

04.01.2022 One that I took over easter. The foreground is perhaps a little too busy, but the sky is nice and dramatic. I thought about removing the guy fishing off to the side there, but I decided it adds a little bit of interest to the image.
