25.01.2022 Its action stations.... lots going on to get the clinic into its new premises. Big thanks to Neil Barker and Jason Beale.

23.01.2022 Physiotherapy at Broulee would like to wish everyone and very jolly merry happy and joyous Christmas! We are taking a short break to enjoy the season, and return on 3rd January. Happy Christmas!

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I hope you are safe and comfortable somewhere, and your families are too. Due to the bushfire situation we are closed all week. If you had an appointment you should have received a message yesterday. I have not had access to internet until now, my apologies. Power is likely to be off for quite some days yet. Im hoping to be able to open next week, but will keep you posted. Broulee has been one of the luckier villages so far.... Our thoughts are with the many who are doing it so tough.

21.01.2022 When your body is balanced it has resilience and grace.

21.01.2022 Get set...Last stages of fit out now, all we are waiting for is telstra to connect the phone line.... what could possibly go wrong! Hoping to be in the new place in a couple of weeks, telstra permitting...

21.01.2022 Well done to all the Eurobodalla netballers, as the competition rounds end this weekend, and the finals begin. In particular congratulations to the Broulee Buzz Bees, who have learnt sooo much this year. Their skills are skyrocketing, but it is their sportsmanship that is truly a joy to watch...!

18.01.2022 New website coming soon... you will be able to book and change appointments online, for now the best way is calling 0438 783426

18.01.2022 GO!!!! We are in the premises, comfortable and super convenient.... Thanks to the team who helped us get there, we are all set for a big year ahead.

18.01.2022 Local Yr 7 student Eva Barker is cutting her long lovely locks to donate to charity...Variety - Hair with Heart. This charity helps people (often children) who have lost their hair due to medical causes, with wigs to improve confidence and self esteem. If you would like to donate to add to her contribution, please follow the link: https://hairwithheart.variety.org.au//evab/hair-with-heart What a lovely community we live in!

18.01.2022 With such a busy active community here, we need more physio hours! We are now opening on Monday mornings to try to accommodate all the positive people looking after themselves. We are also in search of a physio for the Narooma practise, around 2 days per week, if you or a friend might be interested, please give us a call!

18.01.2022 With the netball season starting, any netball coaches who are interested in learning about Netball Australias "Knee Injury Prevention Program" can contact me for a run through. It is very self explanatory though, and all you need is to jump on the website knee.netball.com.au and start reading! Ill be at the netball courts often throughout the season, and am happy to help anyone who has questions or needs a little help!

15.01.2022 Some new and exciting changes are brewing for Physiotherapy at Broulee... Watch this space.

15.01.2022 Thank you Amanda Klekner for the lovely new logo... it embodies the aim of being well balanced, with joints stacking well over each other. The aim of much of our work!

14.01.2022 Well done to our community, in isolating so well that the COVID situation looks much better than a few weeks ago. We are OPEN, and now asking everyone to wear a face mask, as staying 1.5m apart is impossible. Hoping to soon be able to go back to a lower level of risk, but for now, masks are the easy answer.

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I hope you are adjusting well to the new social environment around us, and are avoiding the anxiety that is unnecessary and unhelpful. Firstly, I am open. I have a few new procedures to ensure good hygiene, and instil confidence in being able to come in and be looked after. If I am unwell, even a little sniffle... I will call and cancel. It is important to be cautious and careful, as there are a group in our society who are likely to be very adversely affected by... getting the COVID19. It is the responsibility of all of us to do our best. Secondly, It is very important to look after yourselves, and those around you. In this strange time, panic and anxiety are causing more problems than the virus. The panic and anxiety are very harmful, and unfortunately very contagious. I am suggesting everyone make some strategies to limit this. They may include limiting the time you spend watching TV, in particular the news. Visual images are very powerful invokers of fear. Even radio news, which would give you the facts, is much better. After you have heard the news, turn it off. Checking in a couple of times a day is plenty! or even too much. Music is a much happier companion. Remind yourself daily of the wonderful things in life! It is lovely time of year to be on the South Coast, the air is fresh, the days often glorious. Some mindfulness is super helpful. I recommend smiling mind App, which is free and a wonderful resource to talk you through some basic techniques. The people who are around you are in strange times too - those who you do have contact with, really connect with them. Take the time to talk on the phone to those not close. We are often too busy, so use the extra home time to do things you would normally not get to. Try something new - experiment with art, teach yourself to sew or knit, touch type or learn another language. Anything that uses a different part of your brain helps with not getting caught up in a rut of media driven anxiety. Get gardening - after the fires, there is so much that can be done to help regrow our fauna. Or start a veggie patch. Connecting with the earth is very grounding to our minds as well. Very importantly EXERCISE!!!!! Moving a lot helps the body, and mind. It helps your body process the stress hormones, and break them down. It helps sleep and wellbeing in so many ways. Try some youtube pilates, exercise bike, or put some music on loud and dance around the house.... if you are stuck inside, no-one is watching - make the most of it! And remind yourselves, we are in a wonderful part of the world, and our community is strong. If we are all smart and careful, who knows, we may even wipe out the common cold, or the influenza virus. There will be many silver linings, esp if we can stay calm and grounded, and help each other through this. Look after yourselves, and each other

13.01.2022 is looking for a Physio! Our growing private practice needs a physio with a focus on quality of care. The caseload is musculoskeletal, and the principal is a 20 years experienced physio trained in Connect Therapy. 30 minute plus appointment times, modern practice setting and flexible hours available. Pilates training would be welcome, with small group classes to teach. Enquiries - just give us a call.

12.01.2022 Upwards and Onwards.... Physiotherapy at Broulee is growing and we are currently busy fitting out our new premises. Train St Central has a spacious unit for us, so Jason Beale is squirrelling away to make it perfect! It will be a little way off yet, so meantime we are still enjoying the stunning setting up at the Bower. Bring on the sunshine, warmer longer days and new energy to enjoy moving...... We will let you know when the move is closer

11.01.2022 We are open again, after a dramatic start to the year. With a very changed landscape around us, and a huge amount of faith in this building that protected myself and my family! Hope all are well and starting to feel more settled. Lets make 2020 a positive year for your body and mind...

11.01.2022 Clinic will be closed this week while I am at a fantastic course in Sydney.... Ill be back next week all energetic and full of brain food. Connect Therapy is the next generation of physiotherapy, and Ill lucky enough to be doing the course this year.

10.01.2022 A different view from the clinic today. A big thank you to the fire fighters from near and far who helped keep peoples lives and property intact. You are amazing.... We feel like the crisis is past for our town, and the healing of the landscape and the lives touched can begin.

09.01.2022 Physiotherapy at Broulee is pleased to be opening on Tuesdays as well as Fridays, starting May 8th. This should make it easier to book in and look after yourself. With the netball season starting next weekend, and this stunning autumn weather, it is a great time to get moving, grooving and having fun while exercising! When you are moving well, you are feeling good and love to exercise!

09.01.2022 TEMPORARY CLOSURE DUE TO COVID Due to the local COVID outbreak, and the community transmission risk in our small community, we do not feel that we can guarantee a safe environment. Obviously it is impossible to socially distance in the clinic. We have decided to close for the remainder of this week, and will watch closely. We will re-open as soon as we feel it is safe for the community to do so. Thanks for your understanding.... It is encouraging to see so many people isolating and making choices to protect the wider community. Thank you for staying patient and riding this out. If we can stay vigilant over the next 2 weeks, hopefully we can return to where we were with confidence.

07.01.2022 Many Thanks to Sue and Mark at The Bower, such a special place to have begun our journeyMany Thanks to Sue and Mark at The Bower, such a special place to have begun our journey

07.01.2022 Thank you Heide Smith Photography for this great image in the clinic! What a treat to have such an amazing photographer in the clinic

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, While nothing seems to be containing mad panic and illogical random decisions..... Please be reassured that by all information Ive had, good hand hygiene is all that is needed to keep you safe from many germs including COVID19, as long as it is mixed with common sense which says if anyone is unwell, they should and stay home. ... In order to reassure, we are going to ask all clients to wash their hands on arrival, and, of course, stay away if you are unwell. Late cancellations will be accepted. I will continue the usual good hand hygiene that is practiced, and obviously, if I am unwell, I promise to stay home! Stay well, and sane amongst the craziness!

05.01.2022 After another amazing week on course, my brain is buzzing! LJ is an incredible physio, and I am so lucky. Many new possibilities ahead now....

04.01.2022 Our humble beginnings in a shed on this pristine property has led to the clinic we now know. What a journey The Bower has had this year, devastated on Dec 31st by fire, and now the regeneration outside and inside is nearly there, and they are almost ready to re-open. It will be a lucky person who wins this one! Good luck

04.01.2022 We are thrilled to be welcoming back Alyssa Louttit for Broulee Massage, and Liza Lloyd Jones for one on one pilates classes. Hooray for the easing of restrictions.... stay careful everyone, and we hope to see the return of Pilates Classes soon also....

04.01.2022 Happy Easter Everyone! We are lucky to be socially distancing in such a beautiful part of the world, where our daily exercise can come with amazing views, solitary beaches, bush tracks and wonderful places to ride. Keep moving your body, and both your body and mind will thank you for it!... We are still operating, but with restricted hours (due to home schooling), but enjoying a break over Easter. Stay well, and moving+++

01.01.2022 For the soccer coaches also... FIFA have had a long history of success with reducing the number of serious knee injuries sustained if the players use the warm up outlined in the FIFA 11+. Check it out, and keep your players in good shape and on the field!

01.01.2022 Same place and same face but Physiotherapy at Broulee has a new logo and new phone number... When you are ready to love moving again, you can contact us on 0438 783426. Our lovely clinic at the Bower is still surrounded my native Australian bush, and you will still find Melanie Atteridge squirrelling away inside. The only change is the business structure. After starting as part of Narooma Physiotherapy it has now grown into an independent business, so the contact details have... changed. Look forward to seeing you all out and about to keep warm as the frosty mornings arrive.

01.01.2022 May Gibbs drew this for the last pandemic....it is easy to forget that this has all happened before. Hang in there everyone, this will pass eventually.
