Jamie was recognised in 2012 as Young Player of the Year by the International Hockey Association by winning silver medal at the World Cup and a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games!! Jamie also played for our national team (The Kookaburras!) until 2012. Jamies most famous for scoring a goal during extra time at the Athens Olympics in 2004,... which saw Australia win gold and Dwyer take the title of best player in the world. Like the picture in the bottom right :) - When you twist, move your whole upper body to the side rather than only your arms. Tip: where your eyes go, there your body will follow!

Both quickly decided to pursue swimming after witnessing the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. 16.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW...the game of AFL existed long before it was given its official title in 1985, it took the form of the Indigenous Football game of Marngrook! Marngrook has very similar characteristics to AFL, stemming from the Aboriginal peoples of south eastern Australia, in the same region as AFL founder Tom Wills. Wills grew up playing marngrook with the local indigenous people, and from this experience introduced AFL which was an adaptation of Rugby that kept the ball off the ground, used punting, and celebrated those who marked the ball. The jumps train these muscles to react quickly to explosive movements, such as the starting block launch or each push off the wall. The beauty of the box jump is you can adapt it to your varying performance needs, doing low reps of a higher box to improve your power or doing high reps of a lower box to deal with the lactic acid that comes with a quick-repeat, loaded movemen...t. You can start by choosing a box around the same height as your shins, lowering into a quarter squat, swinging your arms behind you and bringing them forwards quickly as you jump! Make sure you are landing with both feet flat on the box and both arms out in front, in motorbike stance. 06.01.2022 Snapping hip syndrome is felt by 5% of the population, occurring most often in dancers but also within other sports with repetitive movement like running and gymnastics. Snapping hip syndrome (SHS) is a condition that is defined by a snapping or popping sensation in or around the hip when it is moved in a certain direction. It is most commonly felt when walking, getting up from a chair and swinging your leg around. The sensation occurs when a muscle or tendon moves over a bon...y protrusion in your hip. There are various causes of SHS and there a thorough examination is required. Some people do not experience pain or dysfunction with the sensation, whereas others report pain and weakness which interferes with their hobbies. Stair climbs are one example exercise that builds power, speed and strength through short, explosive movement. If you havent swum for a while, make sure youre not over-training muscles that have deteriorated during isolation or are fatigued after the sudden activity. Correct stroke mechanics during training is important to keep an eye on too, most injuries come from a misuse of repeated movements, and in a sport where repetition lays the foundation there is high potential ...for this to occur.
