24.01.2022 PIAF AND AZNAVOUR Back in Time In 10 days( Wednesday 10th July). I will have the pleasure to present to the world my latest creation: Piaf & Aznavour - Back in... Time. Always in search for an innovative artistic idea, I have created a show that is ; until proven otherwise, the ONLY show of its kind in the World. A unique celebration of French popular music created right here in Western Sydney. A theatrical experience that will hopefully travel the seven seas and establish our International cast as serious ambassadors of French chanson. Surrounded by a small group of creative minds, we have given life to this vague concept that started in 2017 during an Aznavour Birthday Concert for The Alliance Française de Sydney. 16.01.2022 Sydney 30th April 2020 As we look beyond isolation, I would like to invite fans of Edith Piaf & Charles Aznavour but also fans of French popular music in general and all those who have supported our shows in recent years in Australia to visit our new Facebook page dedicated to the new Australian Production : PIAF AND AZNAVOUR ... Back in Time - French title : Comme Autrefois Covid - 19 has without a doubt stopped our touring plans in 2020 but in saying that, Back in Time ...is a project with a long term agenda. It’s not everyday that you get to create a show which is the only one of it’s kind in the World. Part Theatre, part Cabaret and part Biography; performed in French & English,PIAF AND AZNAVOUR ...Back in Time is the epitome of French popular music. A show created for International stages. The show was launched at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club in April 2019 in front of an eclectic crowd comprising of Australians, French, Italians, Belgians, Algerians, Lebanese, Mauritians, Egyptians, Latvians and Armenians. 03.01.2022 FRIDAY 22nd MAY 2020 Sydney - Australia REMEMBERING CHARLES AZNAVOUR... Though some restrictions are starting to be lifted in Australia, we are still in isolation when it comes to entertainment. For how long is the "Million Dollar question!!!" This week end, I would have been in Melbourne performing the music of the amazing Charles Aznavour, who has been my constant inspiration for the last 18 years. In 2002, in search of a new and original idea for a show, somebody suggested Aznavour ; which I quickly declined. After giving it some more thoughts, I realized there was NO other Aznavour show in Australia and yet we were at the beginning of a new century! So with excitement and impetuosity,I embarked on this new journey and the rest is history! 17 years since the opening night of AZNAVOUR...FROM TODAY at The Riverside Theatre in Parramatta ( Western Sydney) The launch of this Aznavour premiere in Australia was made possible with the help of my long time friend; French Conductor André Martial ( André was for a number of years Conductor at The Châtelet in Paris). Directed by Rikelle Brown, the show was performed under the Musical Direction of John Watson with Marcello Maio on Accordion & 2nd keys. BV’: Sheridan Gaudry, Christina Byrne & Mollie King. All arrangements by legendary Australian musician Les Dempsey.. On Charles Aznavour’s birthday, I would like to share my first television appearance performing Aznavour in Australia [ apologies for the quality of image...that was before the digital era!!!] + one of my most treasured photos...You’ll see why!!!
