24.01.2022 Some day they gonna go back home and live with the volcano like people from Tanna and Ambrym. #Anotherrealexperience.

20.01.2022 Briefly, Our Story and Changes to The Pikininis Project Australia Many will remember that since 2006, we started sponsoring children to go to school in Vanuatu. The following year we began The Pikininis Project Australia (TPPA) as a ministry out of the local church we were attending. Several years later we applied and received DGR status which meant that people who wished to give donations/gifts to TPPA could do so and these would be tax deductible. Now thirteen years on, muc...Continue reading

19.01.2022 Some of the recent work of The Pikininis Project Australia

18.01.2022 Congratulations and God’s richest blessings to Graham and Rayline on their engagement. We are thrilled to hear the good news. Rayline is one of the first children to be sponsored by The Pikininis Project Australia and we’re so happy to hear this great news. Her father, Renauld, is a deacon at Luganville Baptist Church and Uncle to our daughter, Esther. Very special news for our lovely Australian sponsors.

18.01.2022 Over the last thirteen years or so TPPA has been working with some remote villages on Santo Island, Vanuatu. This is Pastor Gaby and his wife Smilie and children. In recent years he became, after a long process, the official land owner of an area in Big Bay on Santo. This gave him wonderful opportunity to minister to the people of the area. He is also the village Pastor and one of the elders of the village. Over time we have partnered with him and the village to improve ...the school via sponsorships, some health planning, financial/budgeting education, water project, literacy and other developmental aid activities. The other photos are of a recent Mataloi village church service and the Bible College. The Mataloi village now provides practical care, education and spiritual support for some other villages in their area. We are thankful for the many good people of Mataloi and the Aussie folks who gave to the projects in Vanuatu. See more

16.01.2022 The last evacuation centre, Luganville Baptist Church, where Reach Vanuatu and the church people did such an amazing job of hosting and caring for the people from Ambae, is now empty. Hearts are full and lifelong friendships forged. Further updates to come.

15.01.2022 Ishmael Roberts trekking to the remote parts of Gaua Island (northern Vanuatu) to help the villages there with the message of Hope. Ishmael will also be doing a water project on his own island of Epi in December as part of TPPA’s projects in Vanuatu.

12.01.2022 Please don't forget the people of Ambae. They still desperately need food and water. Children are sick from the ash and sulphur gases in the air. The volcano has been spewing rock and ash since September. Please read the newspaper article. Donations to 1721 PIK Manaro Eruption Emergency project are tax deductible. Direct deposits can be made into the POAF account, BSB: 062-572, acc't no: 10152188. In the description please put your name and PIK 1721, then email us at [email protected] so we can receipt your donation. ***TPPA partners with World Relief Australia (WRA)

11.01.2022 As we head into Sunday tomorrow and another week for the Ambae people to be in evacuation centres on Santo, well away from their own island home of Ambae, still with an uncertain future ahead of them, please pray for them and for the CSL (Reach Vanuatu) Team and Luganville Baptist Church volunteers who are doing such a wonderful job of looking after the 400+ people in their centre as well as assisting other centres as needed.

09.01.2022 Recently posted by Elizabeth Pinero in answer to a question about Marano volcano on Ambae: The volcano has been continually erupting, some days we can hear explosions (at Natanara on Santo Island). The government started returning the Ambae people a few days ago and should be finished by tomorrow. We have 3 families still here with us. One pregnant, one child sick and one with deaf girls who will be having operations while here. The people in Ambae are having a really hard time with no fresh water and ash everywhere. Please pray for them. (Photo from E Pinero)

09.01.2022 On 23rd October, the last evacuation centre on Santo, at Luganville Baptist Church, was empty as the last of the people evacuated from Ambae caught one of the 5 boats that would take them home to their own island. What now? ** Crops and food are a main priority since the animals and the volcanic ash and acid rain have destroyed all their gardens (this is where they grow the food for their families). The people of Ambae will be depending entirely on supplies from outside thei...r island for upwards of six months. The water supply also will need to be checked as volcanic ash would have polluted much of that as well. ** CSL (Reach Vanuatu) are sending a team of 4 people by boat to Ambae to do an assessment of the real situation there and then report back to NDMO and Luganville Baptist on the weekend so that they can start sending supplies to Ambae as soon as possible. ** The tax deductible project, 1721 PIK Marano Eruption Emergency, will continue for the next eight months as the people re-establish themselves on their island. Donations can be made to: Bank account: POAF BSB: 062-572 Acc't No: 10152188 In the deposit description, please put your name and PIK 1721. Then email us at pikininis@bigpond,com so we can receipt your donation. ** TPPA partners with World Relief Australia (WRA). (Photos shared from NDMO and Ishmael Roberts, with thanks) See more

09.01.2022 Received sad news today of the passing of Trachida. We first met Trachida in 2006 and it was our joy and privilege to be able to sponsor her through her schooling. Our thoughts and prayers are with her dear family.

02.01.2022 Great news! The people of Ambae are returning home. More news will come through in the next couple of days.
