20.01.2022 Many of Pink Turtle Photography’s most beautiful portraits have been a happy blend of preplanning the portrait shoot with a generous helping of spontaneity. This portrait on the steps was a concept that was completely planned and Pink Turtle loves the result. This beautiful timber staircase is at the core of the house and the steps link all the levels of Carol and Jay’s new home. The staircase begins in the family living room right next to the kitchen and leads up past cosy bedrooms to the master bedroom on the top floor. Coming down the stairs you are invited into joyful conversations, delicious family meals, spirited card games, curling up with a book, or simply enjoying a movie together. Carol and Jay are the heart and soul of their family and this staircase is the heart and core of their family home.

19.01.2022 Pink Turtle has pulled a few images from the vault in honour of Father’s Day. A big shout out to every dad, stepdad, father, grandfather, pop, grandpa and great grandfather. Wherever they are we hope they are surrounded by loved ones or forever embraced in our hearts and memories. Here are three Dads that are always in my heart. Let’s celebrate and reflect on the laughs, tears, smiles, support, mistakes, strength, and all the dad jokes which make us smile despite ourselves and help us take life a little less seriously.

18.01.2022 During the past 6 months I’ve been working with these three geldings at a local agistment centre in the Shoalhaven. Since I’m rarely without my cameras I took the opportunity to photograph portraits of Harry (cream), Monty (gray), and Silver (palomino). The three boys have been inquisitive models for Pink Turtle Photography and willing practice partners for my Equine Assisted Learning work.

18.01.2022 Portraits of Mother Nature Like everyone else we've been spending quiet time at home. I've enjoyed exploring the images from our July 2019 trip to Alaska, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. Many times we were in the middle of pristine wilderness and completely off the grid by choice. Pink Turtle hopes you enjoy these portraits of Mother Nature.

17.01.2022 Pink Turtle Photography ended 2018 with several equine portrait shoots and 2019 has started with more portraits of families with their herd of horses. Jasmine, Rose, and Jack made my job easy while they patted, groomed, led, and just hung out with their equine family. The rapport between these young people and the horses was relaxed, peaceful, and beautiful to watch as well as photograph. Take a closer look at the connection between humans and horses in each of the portraits and see if you can figure out what they might have been saying to each other.

15.01.2022 Always been an outdoor girl. Feel very grounded and completely myself when I'm out in nature. Mother Nature is sometimes magnificent but often she is just the trees, veggie garden, lily pond, or potted flowers, or a patch of grass in your own backyard. Just because we have to self isolate for awhile doesn't mean we have to miss out on being in nature.

13.01.2022 During a recent training workshop on trauma informed practices for Equine Assisted Learning I photographed portraits of a few of our equine teachers at the Equine Psychotherapy Institute (EPI). The wonderful herd at EPI always teach me new awareness of old patterns of behaviour. I am incredibly grateful for everything I’ve learned from the horses and from my colleagues at the Equine Psychotherapy Institute. Have you ever had teachers this good looking during your education?

09.01.2022 During a recent visit to Daylesford, VIC, I had the pleasure of hanging out with and photographing a very young foal, his mum, and the rest of their herd. I’m not sure what was more rewarding; the mare bringing her colt over to meet me or being welcomed into the herd one late afternoon to photograph them. I hope you enjoy the portraits of Echo and his herd as much as I enjoyed my afternoon with them. equine portraits + hanging out with the herd = magic day

09.01.2022 Mic and Bubbles have grown up together and enjoyed lots of riding adventures at Pony Club or out on the trail. Pink Turtle Photography photographed Mic and Bubbles riding and relaxing at Falls Creek, NSW. We just love a "girl and her horse" portrait shoots.

09.01.2022 Today we are showcasing a lovely portrait of Elen and the two brumbies she adopted recently. Mai and Ra are very lucky to have Elen as their human and these two girls have settled into their new life beautifully. Pink Turtle Photography is looking forward to hearing all about the equine assisted work they will be doing together.

08.01.2022 Continuing our love of photographing portraits of women and young people with horses, Pink Turtle enjoyed a touching photo shoot at Shoalhaven Equine Assisted Learning. Renée and her herd (Othello, Monty and Tilly) co-facilitated learning some great life skills including sensory awareness, communication skills, and resilience.

05.01.2022 An outdoorsy family enjoying Mother Nature in a beautiful gorge was the perfect excuse for Pink Turtle Photography to do some spontaneous portrait photography.

04.01.2022 For many years Pink Turtle Photography has loved photographing portraits of humans and horses and especially poignant are portraits of women or young people with their horses. Pink Turtle photographed tender portraits of the unique connections between humans and horses during equine assisted learning sessions at True Colours Animal Assisted Therapy.

03.01.2022 Frog portraits Last year we were walking on crunchy dry grass with bushfires all along the coast. This year the rains have returned and we've got frogs everywhere. Frogs in watering cans, fence posts, bromeliads, and even our mailbox. ... Joyful sights and sounds. See more
