17.01.2022 Hi legends Pioneer Finishes made the trip down to Dargle NSW on the weekend to check out the Resto Expo and it didnt disappoint. Such an epic location on the Hawkesbury river , hats off to Ken and his crew for making the event possible Im sure its a mammoth job Was great to meet some of my southern customers and see these restored parts back on the bikes (swingarms, Coated parts and exhausts) ... Also the the Pioneer Finishes 88 kx125 came home with a 3rd overall in show and 1st in pre 90 Put this one on the calendar for next year Cheers Mark

Was great to see Daves passion for motocross and restoring this particular bike The motor was a tired black, now a clean hydro blasted finish ready to be rebuilt ... Airbox and rubber boot restored Forks were linished and prepared for burnt bronze Cerakote Triple clamps hydro blasted and cleared in 5100 Cerakote Cheers Dave

09.01.2022 Classic dirt 14 didnt disappoint this year, a well run event plenty of track time and good times to be had. We just finished the 88 Kx125 off on the Friday morning,packed up and headed up to one of the best motocross venues in Australia. Camping grounds where packed with close to 500 nominated riders, its a credit to vmx magazine and the Sunshine Coast motorcycle club to accomodate such a large amount of people. The volunteers kept everyone fed at the canteen and the Mago...o bar kept the fluids up. Saturday night was the biggest crowd I have seen near the bar, the Xr 200 got raffled off to one lucky guy and the band played on till late. Sunday was the show and shine, the Kx125 took out best pre90 at the show with lots of great feed back and comments. A big thanks to those that helped, my Partner Nat for understanding what this bike means to me, Scotty for lending me his trailer, Andy from ATR Suspension Services, Dave at Styling Automotive for the paint, Matty for the original brake lines, Rick at Crazy dogs for putting up with my parts orders, Corey for the muffler, Vmx magazine and everyone else who had a part in this build. Will be organising some better photos of the bike soon. Thank you Onto the next one......

01.01.2022 Vapour blasting of aluminium die castings is a cost effective way to remove the build up of scale and residue which happens in the manufacturing process. The non abrasive process of vapour blasting will not remove any base metal of the mould just the scale and build up. This leaves a better than new mould to go back into service and maximises the life span of the mould. Full restore on the swingarm, along with restoring the plastic air-box, rubber boot and hydro blasting a few other parts. This project is heading back to NSW and will end up being an 87 model era retro theme Cr500 AF build
