From the Wednesday the 12th week 5 till Wednesday the 19th of August there will be a Seed Drive. This is an opportu...nity to donate any unwanted gardening items that can be useful to kick-start our school garden. Items could include the following: Seeds Pots Potting mix Odd plants / seedlings Old gardening gloves / tools Anything else that could be of use. Feel free to drop items at admin during this time. Feel free to flick an email to contact the school chaplain at [email protected] if you have any questions or ideas about this project. Thanks a bunch! 20.01.2022 Cleaner’s Day Every year, a day is dedicated to celebrating School Cleaner’s Day. This year it falls on 15 June. On behalf of all the staff at Pioneer State High School, I would like to congratulate our team of cleaners on all the hard work they do to keep our school looking clean and hygenic.... Our cleaners are a team of 8 staff members who dedicate their working lives to providing our students and the school community a healthy environment in which to learn and work. We often forget about those staff who just provide the daily routines, the basics and take for granted that we will find cleanliness in our school and work environment. Today, I would like to wish them, on behalf of the students and staff a very happy Cleaner’s Day and thank them with great appreciation for the good work that they do. Have a wonderful Cleaner’s Day and thank you to you all. See more

05.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. NAIDOC Week 2020 acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 with Captain James Cook, or in 1606 with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape Yor...k Peninsula. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations people. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations. It’s about seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000-plus- year history of this country - which is Australian history.
