16.01.2022 Like the gorilla being sent to the zoo, it was bound to come. The 2021Richmond Highland Gathering joins the list of the cancelled. We thank the St Andrew Society, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia for all of the amazing things they do and it will be a massive celebration on the Village Green when we put the pipe bands back together.... Bands, please look after the contest trophies and shields from 2020. They'll be hot property in 2022!

14.01.2022 Great to see more signs of pipe band activity in the covid-normal world!

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Pipe Major Gaynor Spriggs from Tasmania Police Pipe Band who was one of three recipients Nationwide of a Peter Cook Scholarship to assist in piping development!

02.01.2022 Congratulations to the Derwent Scottish Pipe Band who were listed in the 2020 Pipe Bands Australia President's Commendations for the poignant performance by Pipe Major Rick Baxter and Pipe Sergeant Joel Solak on ANZAC Day. This year's award paid particular focus to innovation and engagement during the COVID-19 crisis that restricted pipe band activities across Australia.
