Playing in an online competition is difficult and I really commend them all for putting themselves out there to compete in a World Championship competition. It is also so pleasing to see our Greater Ipswich College of Piping and Drumming student's reap the rewards of their efforts. They are fantastic representatives of the City of Ipswich Pipe Band, as well as the Queensland and Australian pipe band communities."

05.01.2022 Friday saw our Grade 12 student presented with their thank you gifts from BBC Pipe Band. Some of these young men have been in the band since Grade 2. These pip...ers and drummers have so many stories to tell and many highlights over their years in the band, but top of their lists would have to be competing at Qld, Australian, Scottish, European & World Championships, as well as participating in the Qld Pops Orchestra concerts and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo both in Sydney and in Edinburgh, Scotland. Over and above these amazing opportunities was the mate-ship and camaraderie in the Pipe Band. Thank you gents..... From left to right. Blaise, Angus, Samuel, Will, Ryan, Patrick R and Isaac Absent: Patrick T and Hamish

04.01.2022 Aloha!! In 30-degree heat, members, families and friends of the City of Ipswich Pipe Band cooled off in their Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts playing lawn... bowls to celebrate Christmas 2020. We congratulate our award recipients, and thank our friends and supporters for keeping together during a very challenging year. Under Pipe Major Nick Tomkins, the band has big plans in 2021 and we look forward to growing the band, the Greater Ipswich College of Piping and Drumming and of course The Gathering in May 2021. We wish our fellow pipers & drummers, members, friends & supporters around the world a safe and enjoyable Christmas. #tropical #pineapple #Christmas #pipesanddrums #summer See more
