Dan will have a chat and take you through some training drills followed by a quick question time.... Dan Coles as I mentioned is currently our Pivot Women’s Champ coach. But that’s not enough for Dan, also involved with Geelong United, Supercats and Corio Bay Stingrays in a coaching capacity both currently and over the years. Not to mention some Vic Country coaching accolades and Australian Rep coach vs NZ in 2019 for juniors. A wealth of coaching knowledge and experience....a zoom that is a MUST for all our budding basketballers! Make sure you tune in at 5pm today. 21.01.2022 Pivot Zoom Sessions - join us every week!!! STARTS TONIGHT!!!! 4.30pm with Guest Jordan O’Leary (See bottom of post for brief synopsis of career) Despite of what is happening in Victoria after a week of games running as smoothly as they did, and due to the limited resources for us to hold any training session, we have some exciting news. ... As of this Wednesday 29th of July (tonight!) and for the next 7 weeks we will be conducting a Zoom session every Wednesday starting 29th July at 4:30pm. We will have a guest speaker at each session, who will offer any tips, tricks and ideas on how they’ve kept their skills up during ISO and will give you an opportunity to ask questions. We will have a Pivot committee representative at each session to monitor and coordinate them. We understand you might not be able to get to this session so we will record it and if you have a question please let us know. Every Tuesday night tune in for the reveal of our guest speaker for the week. They may be a current or past player, coach, and or professional. Once again I truly appreciate you being resilient during these times and so happy we got through week 1 games...here’s to week 2. Below is the link for the session and will be the same link every Wednesday: Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3484976293 Meeting ID: 348 497 6293 Passcode: PivotCityZ GUEST OF THE DAY: Jordan O’Leary (son of Geelong veteran Tim O’Leary) Brief synopsis: Jordan started at Pivot when he was 6, his team didn’t win a game for 3 years. Played all juniors at Pivot and won numerous championships from under 10 to under 18. Played rep for Geelong under 12 and 14, won four country champs played at 4 classics and two national under 14 championships. When he was under 14 bottom age the team won bronze at the nationals in Canberra and came runners up in the VC Championship division the same year. Moved to Melbourne Tigers for two seasons and the team won Metro 1 when he was bottom age under 18. Decided not to play rep at top age, rather to focus on studying. He went to try outs for Under 18 CV team and was selected in the team. Was recruited to South Dakota School of Mines NCAA Division 2 and spent two years living the dream. Court time was limited but loved every minute of the training and friendships that were made. He returned to Geelong and played 3 years of YLM with Stingrays earning All Star five selection in his last two years and also the scoring title for the league. Continues to play Champ men for Pivot winning two championships so far and this year was selected to the Supercats NBL1 team. Pop by ask some questions. See you there

03.01.2022 Good evening Pivotonians! With the revised format of Winter 2020 on our doorstep we need to get cracking ASAP on registrations and memberships. MEMBERSHIP... As a token of our gratitude to our members for your support and understanding during these unprecedented times; and in the spirit of this season being more so about just getting the kids back on the court to get some normality back for their mental and physical health, we are waiving the Pivot Membership fees for this season. No Pivot Membership fees are due this season! This does not include Geelong United fees though. For those who had already paid for Winter you have the option of rolling your fees over to Summer or if you are not playing we can certainly refund the money for you. REGISTRATIONS We now really NEED everyone who is still yet to register with PlayHQ to do so immediately!!!! No player is able to play unless they are in the new system. This system replaces Sporting Pulse. Please go to: playhq.com ASAP and create an account and register for the upcoming season. Here is a direct link for you: https://www.playhq.com/register/294b7c If you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll help you out. UNIFORMS For those who need uniforms please email Ally Harvey directly at [email protected]. Again, please be patient and understanding as we are having a few issues with our suppliers due to COVID. Okay I think that’s it for the moment. As with every start to a new season it takes a few weeks to get things sorted. And in these current times it may take a bit longer to get sorted..but we will get there! Thanking each and every one of our Pivot City Familywe have THE best members in the Geelong United Association!!!!!!!!! Have a great night Meagan McCartney Registrar 0407 257 755
