25.01.2022 How beautiful is this creation. It would work in all sorts of places around the house or garden.

25.01.2022 A pretty but somehow wintery looking display today. I love the lilac afterglows in there. I cant wait for mine to grow that large!

24.01.2022 I've been a bit MIA recently.....my dad has been on a visit from the UK. All back to work again now though! How about something like this to brighten up a bare fence?

24.01.2022 I came across this beautiful image when searching today and just had to share it. I love the lilac coloured echeverias and have a few different ones in my collection.

23.01.2022 I had to be cruel to be kind today. It was finally time to behead my rescued echeveria afterglow. Shes been growing so well. But the pups underneath need more ...light and I wanted to create some new plants. I carefully cut away 3 new plant heads. Its important with plants like this to handle the leaves as little as possible. They have a powdery covering which, once removed, does not come back. This provides them protection from the sun. Ill leave these for a couple of days to callous over, before planting them up.

22.01.2022 A few beauties from around the garden today. Dew drops like diamond dust on this gorgeous echeveria, chocolate brown for my Black Prince, Kalanchoe about to burst into winter colour, stunning aeonium, my kalanchoe humilis about to flower and finally this little variegated Portulaca afra.

22.01.2022 I'd love a few of these hanging around my garden. I think you'd have to make sure both sides looked stunning though if it was hanging like this.

21.01.2022 Ive been a bit negligent with my posts on facebook recently. As the weather is warming up, its been all systems go here....propagating, building a new hot house etc. However, I saw this picture yesterday and thought it looked lovely.....what a great idea for reusing bamboo!

20.01.2022 After the rain yesterday I went out and took photos of some of my plants. What I really need to do is create a full catalogue of all my plants!!

20.01.2022 Look at this amazing piece of driftwood filled with succulents. I think once someone made something like this it would be there to stay!! Much too heavy to move.

18.01.2022 These little beauties are called kokedamas. They are moss balls and can be made in many different ways. They of course look great when planted up with succulents ?......

13.01.2022 Not all succulents, but still all beautiful! I am not generally a lover of the kalanchoe fedtschenkoi, but the almost white one with very small amounts of green, with just a touch on pink on the edges is pretty stunning!

13.01.2022 Some people know just how to get the best look from their plants. Such a beautiful arrangement.

13.01.2022 I really need to get my husband on the case with a fallen tree we have in the garden. I just love the way succulents look with wood.

11.01.2022 Wow this is amazing. Its an echeveria pulv-Oliver. This one is in the USA.

11.01.2022 A very kindly chap has sent me some seeds for this fabulous cactus.......echinocactus grusonii......or a golden barrel. They can grow to be huge......but are vicious beasts.....just dont sit on them

10.01.2022 From the garden Friday is something my husband made me this week. I cant wait to fill it with plants and show you the finished project.

10.01.2022 This week at Aloe View Gardens I planted up a large pot that Ive had sitting around for a while. Its already starting to get some great colour in it.....everything was very green last Sunday as the plants had been in the shade.

10.01.2022 Do you have a favourite plant? I go through phases and love different plants for different reasons.......my current favourite is echeveria afterglow. I love the colours in them. This one isnt mine, but it was a far nicer photo than I can get :)

10.01.2022 I like this idea.......theres alway the bare patch of wall between two garages......why not use it?

09.01.2022 From the garden Friday features some of my kalanchoe this week. I find kalanchoe a strange plant in that they all look so very different!! They almost dont look related.

08.01.2022 How are everyones zygo / Christmas cactus looking? Its bloom time and there are some gorgeous ones out there. If you have one in bloom at the moment, please share a photo!

08.01.2022 I just love succulents in hypertufa pots. I still havent had a chance to try making any of these......but they are on my very long to do list

07.01.2022 Here in Australia, particularly Brisbane where I am, we can keep our succulents outside all year around, but for a lot of people succulents are often an indoor plant. They make great centre pieces because they need little care and dont wilt like flowers do.

06.01.2022 Succulent starter pack with: Crassula ovata Senecio radicans.......String of beans Kalanchoe tomentosa.....bunny ears... Aloe Crassula tetragona Sedeveria starburst Senecio jacobseni.....trailing jade Euphorbia tirucalli......firesticks Portulacaria afra Kalanchoe thyrsiflora.....flapjack $15

06.01.2022 From the garden Friday this week is my newly erected greenhouse. Lots of hours of hard work went into putting it up last weekend. Ive started moving planting in this week!

06.01.2022 Id love a few of these hanging around my garden. I think youd have to make sure both sides looked stunning though if it was hanging like this.

06.01.2022 I started work on my succulent garden bed this past weekend......but mine doesnt look anything like this......

06.01.2022 I got myself a birdcage on freecycle the other week. My plan is to do something like this with it

04.01.2022 A while ago I took a punt and rescued this monstrosity from Masters for half price. I recognised her as an echeveria afterglow and hoped that in time and with tlc she would regrow. Today shes looking fabulous. The old leaves have gradually died off and shes produced 6 new plants for me, which I will cut off and replant in the coming weeks.

04.01.2022 Just a small pretty arrangement today. Something everyone could have a go at at home.

03.01.2022 Its at this time of year that aeoniums suddenly start to come to life again. They are winter growers and can look pretty lifeless over the summer......but when that cooler weather hits, they really start to look fabulous again!

03.01.2022 Ive just ordered some new plants which I dont have in my collections. One of those is this beautiful monstrosity called echeveria Baron Bold. It is bit like the raindrops plant but with much larger lumps and bumps.

02.01.2022 I love seeing my plants in miniature as they start to grow. Just tiny versions of their adult parents. Below there is Echeveria purpusorum hybrid, crassula Gollum, kalanchoe blossfeldiana and echeveria black knight.

01.01.2022 Heres a novel way to display succulents! In a colander! It already has holes in for drainage so can just be potted up as it is!

01.01.2022 Just a beautiful display of cascading succulent plants this morning

01.01.2022 I love these succulent terrariums. They really need to be hung inside or under cover though so that they dont get rain in and become waterlogged.

01.01.2022 This would be a nice way to have afternoon tea :)
