The first year of training was under the supervision of Professor David David AC, at the internationally renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide, South Australia, followed by further training at the Westmead Children’s hospital in Sydney, NSW. During this time Linda furthered her studies and was awarded her Masters of Craniofacial Surgery through Macquarie University, Sydney. She also won the University research prize, recognising academic excellence in evidence based practice. Linda currently holds consultant positions at Perth Children’s Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where she undertakes work in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery as well as her subspecialty area of Craniomaxillofacial surgery. Dr. Monshizadeh is actively involved with a number of trusts and humanitarian organisations and takes part in annual missions abroad to provide cleft and reconstructive plastic surgery to developing nations.
