13.01.2022 To honour the life and death of this amazing woman, my sister of Alex, Playa will be raising funds for The Grief Centre of WA over the next few weeks. _____________________ In the weeks coming up to Alex’s anniversary on August 5th we will be raising money through the tip jar at Playa, and by selling these Playa For Alex tees, of which all the proceeds will go to the Grief Centre. On the day we will also be donating $1 from every coffee sold. _____________________ The Grief ...Centre is a Not-For-Profit organisation that provides understanding, support and recovery to people experiencing grief and is particularly significant to me because of what it provided to my Mum in her grief. _____________________ The Grief Centre need a new sign with updated details so that people seeking their services can find them, and we want to help them make that happen. _____________________ Alex was 33 when she died of breast cancer. 05.01.2022 Pretty bloody stoked to share that we have raised $3,124.88 (plus 50 pence and 100 yen) for the Grief Centre. Safe to say that they are getting their new sign, I’m thinking something neon that flashes _____________________ I just rung Christine at the Grief Centre to let her know and she told me that Mum was actually one of the first to attend the Centre when they opened their doors almost six years ago. So cool to have come full circle with this and give back to them. ... _____________________ Of course nothing will change our loss, but this week has been so special to be able to share with you all and honour Alex. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support with this. Rach x
