The Rainbow Fish room used their gross motor, problem solving, commitment and persistence to go through a Walkthrough Maze. 11.01.2022 Vision screening Thank you to StEPS who came out today to conduct vision screening for some of the Caterpillars. The StEPS (Stateside Eyesight Preschooler Screening) program is an initiative of NSW Health that offers all 4 years old children free vision screening. #CommunityInvolvement

10.01.2022 Celebrating and honouring our mums on Mother's Day. We all loved spoiling our mummies and have prepared so much ahead to make this day extra special. The children decorated handmade cards with handprints in our babies class, colourful collage from our toddlers, planted succulent planters in our preschool class and enjoyed the day with our mums with fun activities such as decorating our cupcake station, threading beaded necklace and bracelet, glam up our mummies in our makeup... station, and our favourite of them all, our face painting station by our lovely educator, Ellen. Thank you so much to all our lovely educators who made this day extra colourful and special. All our mums enjoyed the spread and fun day with their little ones. 09.01.2022 A special thank you to Dr Simon Lee from Healthy Smile Centre for kicking off Dental Health Week with us. We learnt about: 1. What a dentist does 2. Where are our teeth? 3. How to brush properly... 4. What are healthy foods and unhealthy foods 5. Engaged in a brushing activity where we got to brush off plaques using our handmade tooth brushes 6. We also received a goodie bag. By age two, 75% of a childs brain growth has occurred. By age three to six, a childs narrative skills are a powerful predictor of literacy levels at 8-12 years. By age four, the difference in the number of words children from disadvantaged backgrounds hear ...is 19 million. By age five, a childs vocabulary will predict their educational success and outcomes at 30" Reading books and having elaborate conversations are a great way to foster the above.

The children in Playbright Rosebery took part in planting in our veggie patch, helped our educator Mariaty replant more greenery and water our garden. We also learnt about recycling and using sustainable resources for our arts and crafts. Let us all help to continue to make our planet a better, greener and cleaner Earth.
