22.01.2022 Grilled Chicken & Pineapple Salad INGREDIENTS For the salad: 200g chicken breast... 4 slices pineapple, canned 2 handfuls salad leaves 1/3 cup (10g) mint leaves 1/2 small onion, finely chopped For the dressing: 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. ginger, grated 1 clove garlic, minced 1 lime, juiced 1 tsp. honey Tabasco, optional HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER Mix the ingredients of the dressing in a salad bowl, season with salt. Add in the spinach and mint leaves and let it rest. In the meantime, cut the chicken breasts in half, horizontally (you will end up with 4 chicken fillets), place on a hot grill pan, and cover each chicken breast with a slice of pineapple, season with black pepper. Grill for around 6-8 minutes, then turn and grill for another 5 minutes (at this stage remove the pineapple and let it grill next to the chicken). Remove from the heat and let the chicken rest 3 minutes, then, cut it into strips. Add the chicken to the salad together with sliced pineapple and finely chopped onion, mix before serving. 18.01.2022 YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO US To keep you safe we follow stringent cleaning protocols to ensure our gym remains hygienic Every 21-28 days we do a deep clean. Over the weekend we fogged the gym with Zoon professional Microbe Shield which has been designed to protect against 99.99% of germs for up to 30 days. ... Multiple times every day we sanitise every piece of equipment and the bathrooms with a Heavy Duty Disinfectant that is 24 hour acting. So it continues to protect you for up to 24 hours after application. In addition to this we have anitibacterial wipes throughout the club and ask our members to use these to wipe down the equipment before and after they use it. We have multiple hand sanitizer stations throughout the club and at all entrances and ask our clients to sanitise their hands as they enter the gym and when they leave. We request every member uses a towel during their training session to ensure our hygiene routine is complete. For those that are interested we use Zoono Global for our monthly deep clean and Seed Organics for our Heavy Duty Disinfectant. 17.01.2022 BAKED SALMON TRAY WITH RICE & TOMATOES . WHAT YOU NEED 400g salmon fillet, skin removed 1 tsp. honey... 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. olive oil 4 slices of lemon + 2 tbsp. of juice 7/8 cup (200g) jasmine rice 1 cup (150g) cherry tomatoes handful basil leaves 4 tbsp. natural yoghurt, 0% fat . Spices: 2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. curry 1 tsp. oregano pinch of chilli flakes . WHAT TO DO Cut the salmon fillet into 4 pieces. Rinse, dry and place in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, curry, and oregano. Add honey, soy sauce, 2 tbsp. olive oil and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice, mix everything and cover the salmon. . Preheat oven to 200C. . Cook the rice according to the instructions on the packaging. Drain it, then transfer into a baking dish and spread the rice over the whole surface of the dish. . Place the salmon fillets on top of the rice, add the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves, then sprinkle with chilli flakes. . Top salmon with lemon slices, and drizzle over the remaining marinade and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. . Serve with a dollop of natural yoghurt. . 10.01.2022 We need your help! Since the 1st August, 24 hour gyms in NSW have been unable to operate 24/7 due to the need to have a ‘Covid Marshal’ present at all times of operating. Having a Covid Marshal in our gym for the hours we are currently operating alone has already more than doubled our wage costs. If we were to staff our gym 24 hours a day, 7 days a week we would be broke with this not only affecting us and our staff but also our members who rely on us to keep physically and ...mentally fit and healthy. Despite consistent lobbying as an industry we have been provided with no clear indication of when this restriction will end so we are asking for your help to ensure all 24 hour gyms, their members and their staff do not get forgotten by the NSW Government. 08.01.2022 Kale and Tofu Salad with Peanut Butter Dressing INGREDIENTS For the salad: 400g natural tofu... 3 cups (90g) kale, chopped 1 cup (100g) purple cabbage, shredded 1 red bell pepper, chopped 2/3 cup (30g) carrot, grated 1 tbsp. coconut oil For the dressing: 3 tbsp. peanut butter 2 tbsp. coconut milk 1 tbsp. rice vinegar 1 tbsp. honey 1 tbsp. soy sauce lime, juiced tsp. chilli flakes 1-2 tbsp. water HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER Wrap the tofu in a kitchen cloth and place something heavy on top of it - this will cause the moisture in the tofu to release. In the meantime, prepare your vegetables. Chop the kale and pepper, grate the carrot and shred the cabbage. Toss everything in a salad bowl. In a small bowl, mix all the dressing ingredients. Heat the coconut in a pan. Cut the tofu into strips and season with salt and pepper fry on medium-high heat for about 5 mins each side, or until golden brown. Divide the salad between bowls, top with tofu, drizzle with the salad dressing and season with black pepper to serve. 06.01.2022 The NSW Department of Health have announced new restrictions due to an increase in cases of Coronavirus across NSW. One of these restrictions is that from Saturday 1st August gyms are only permitted to be open when they are staffed. This means that we are currently not able to trade our normal extended hours. To minimise any inconvenience, we have extended our staffed hours until we are able to return to our normal trading hours. This means our temporary opening hours are;... Monday to Friday: 6.00am to 8.00pm Saturday: 9am to 2pm Sunday: 10am to 2pm This restriction will have a significant impact on our wage costs following what has already been a challenging 4 months for us. We are doing everything we can to manage this situation as best we can, and we do appreciate your understanding at this time. Please continue to do your part by sticking to our cleaning and hygiene protocols when you are at the gym. These include; Washing your hands or using hand sanitiser before and after you train. 05.01.2022 PROTEIN ORANGE & YOGHURT PANCAKES . WHAT YOU NEED 2 eggs 8 tbsp. (160g) natural yoghurt... 2 tsp. coconut sugar 2 tsp. orange peel 2 tsp. vanilla extract 8 tbsp. (120g) spelt flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. coconut oil, melted orange slices, to serve . WHAT TO DO Mix the egg, yoghurt, sugar and orange peel. Fold in the flour and baking powder and mix well until smooth. Lastly, add in the melted coconut oil and mix again. . HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER Slightly heat the oil and coconut milk in a pot over low heat. Add the 200g desiccated coconut, vanilla extract and maple syrup, then mix well. Transfer into a container and chill in the fridge for 1 hour. . (30g) buckwheat flour tsp. paprika 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tbsp. water 1 tbsp. lime juice . WHAT TO DO Add drained sweetcorn, spring onions, coriander, flour and paprika, 1 tbsp. olive oil, water and lime juice to a food processor. Season with salt and pepper and blend until chunky. . Stir the remaining sweetcorn into the mixture. . Heat the remaining 1 tbsp. of oil in a pan and scoop in the mixture (about 2 spoonful’s per fritter).
