25.01.2022 Started a bathroom reno in Duncraig on Thursday. Ripped out the old bathroom. Pipes relocated for new bath and shower and cables ran in for new power points. A...ll was going well until I hit the water pipe Big thanks to Chris Payne from Payne Free Plumbing for helping me sort that out. If you are gonna hit a water pipe, it always helps to be standing next to a plumber Screed for tiling is getting done tomorrow. We are on schedule to have this bathroom completed in less than a week.

25.01.2022 I do this to my wife and kids all the time

23.01.2022 Not much work on this week. I am a bit quiet due to Covid 19. On the plus side, the pubs are back open and I got to take the wife for lunch today

23.01.2022 Its been a busy few weeks and some days are definitely better than others. Yesterday was a good day. I was given a bottle of Baileys by Salma, a customer we did a switchboard for in Kalamunda. Now, Im not saying every customer should buy me a present but it would be nice Thank you again Salma

23.01.2022 Finished a switchboard upgrade in Kalamunda today for an Irish couple. Replaced the old ceramic fuses and asbestos board with a modern enclosure with all new RCD/MCBs. Also ran in a new main earth. Customer was very happy with everything.

23.01.2022 Just finished a job in Gooseberry Hill for a nice couple on Marion Way. We replaced their rotten Western Power pole at the edge of their property and installed a new meter box. Also we upgraded their house switchboard and installed all new modern RCD/MCBs. If anyone would like a free quote to get something similar done, please get in touch

23.01.2022 Doing some RCD testing down at the airport today and I needed a hand. What do you guys think of my new assistant? #bringyourwifetoworkday

23.01.2022 Cleaned the ute this morning. The apprentices were supposed to be helping, but they were more interested in playing with the drills

22.01.2022 Finished a nice job in Walliston yesterday. Installed some outside lights and some pendants. Thanks Claire, I am glad you are happy with everything. The house looks amazing

20.01.2022 Finished a kitchen install and changed some downlights over from halogen to LED for 2 of my favorite customers Pete and Sue in Lesmurdie. I also brought power out to Petes pride and joy, the coolest bbq in the Perth Hills If anyone would like a quote for something similar. Please give me a call or shoot me an email

20.01.2022 Finished a kitchen in The Vines. Turned out great. New stove, a couple of usb power points, some pelmet lighting and some star lights installed in glass cupboards. Also we channeled up the floor to bring power out to the island. The finished kitchen looks amazing. Just waiting on the splashback to be installed

19.01.2022 Hi guys , just a quick message to anyone living in the Kalamunda area. If anyone is self isolating and needs anything picked up in the local area ie groceries or even something so simple as taking their dog out for a walk, please give me a call. Most of my work takes place in the local area and I would be happy to help anyone that needs it.

19.01.2022 Doing a job for my good mates, Hugh and Jen McCall this morning. Installing some power points and a tv point for their new 65 inch TV which we also hung on the wall for them. Looks great Will look even better when the suspended shelf goes in

18.01.2022 I havent posted anything in a few weeks because of covid 19, but P Murphy Electrics is still trading. Did a switchboard upgrade upgrade on Snowball Rd in Kalamunda today and heading back there tomorrow to put up a few fans and run in a new supply for an induction cooktop. I hope all my customers are well and staying safe

18.01.2022 My eldest apprentice turned 7 today. Time flies. Happy birthday Lily

17.01.2022 Finished another switchboard job in Kalamunda today. Replaced the old ceramic fuses and asbestos panel with a new modern enclosure. Every circuit is protected by its own RCD/MCB combo unit. Also ran in a new main earth. This brings the house up to current electrical standards Customer is very happy with the finished job.... I know nobody wants to spend money on a new switchboard because they dont see the value in it but you wouldnt consider it safe to drive your family around in a 1970s car why would you have a 1970s switchboard protecting your home

15.01.2022 Started a new bathroom reno. Did a bathroom for a couple in Duncraig and am now doing an ensuite for their next door neighbours. Did the rip out on Friday and... the plumber, Chris from Payne Free Plumbing, ran in his new pipe work. Very little electrical work on this one, but a new power point will be installed in a cupboard above the vanity. Andy the tiler is in there today doing the screed and the job should be finished by next Monday. Customer is happy with the progress. I will post some pics when the job is completed. If anyone has an old bathroom that they are thinking of renovating, please get in touch and Paul would be delighted to come and give you a free quote See more

14.01.2022 Interesting job in Gooseberry Hill today. Was installing some timber for a fan in a roof space and I found this snake skin Spoke to the owner about it and he reckons it's a local 2 meter python that lives up there. All I can say is, I am glad I did not meet him.... or I would be paying for a new ceiling for these people

14.01.2022 Called up to my customers Maureen and David to get paid for a job and they had a 6 pack of Guinness for me as well. Thanks lads Supposed to be off the drink for June but with great customers like this, thats never gonna happen

14.01.2022 Had a customer give me a 6 pack of Guinness on Wednesday for Christmas (Thanks Darren) Just putting it out there, Guinness is a personal favorite, but I do like most beers #onlyjoking

13.01.2022 Trying to get a business up and running as the biggest pandemic in 100 years hits was maybe a bit unlucky..... but onwards and upwards. We recently did a smal...l job in Dianella for David and Davrile in their podiatrists office. Not a kitchen or a bathroom, but in the current climate you have to be flexible. We removed an old brown aircon, bricked up the wall, plastered the wall and then installed a brand new quality split system AC unit. There are thousands of these old aircons around the city. If you are the owner of one, please get in touch and we would be delighted to upgrade your AC and also modernise your home or place of business See more

08.01.2022 Just finished a small job for my neighbors, Rachel and Daniel Gallanagh. Installed a new ceiling fan on their patio just in time for Christmas and a few other bits and bobs. Bit of a nightmare to get the cables to that spot but the end result was worth the effort. The fan looks great And as you can see her 2 dogs were very happy to see me this morning... #itsadogslife See more

05.01.2022 New kitchen installed in Dianella today. Old kitchen was removed last Friday and in the space of a few days we have totally modernised the kitchen area, even i...nstalling a new island with plumbing and electrics brought to it.. Electrics are totally complete except for the cooktop and rangehood which will be fitted after the stone has been installed. Stone is being templated tomorrow. 05.01.2022 Trying to keep cool today on my birthday. Bit hard when its 36 degrees. Home now doing paperwork having a beer and eating birthday cake with the kiddies and my beautiful wife

03.01.2022 Did a switchboard upgrade today. Replaced ceramic fuses on an old asbestos board with a new modern Distribution Board. All new RCD/MCBs protecting each individual circuit. Making it much safer and much easier to diagnose a fault if one were to occur in the future. Also upgraded the earthing, installed a new main earth. This brings the home up to 2020 standards

02.01.2022 Did some work in a commercial kitchen in Redcliffe today. The customer upgraded from 4 foot fluoro fittings to modern LED battens. These modern LEDs are far superior to what was there before. Much brighter and will save you money, because they are very energy efficient.
