17.01.2022 Dear Community, We write in response to a Facebook post to which we feel is unfair in its interpretation of the cost of hand sanitizer. The pictured product was purchased at 5 times the normal cost (normal cost as of a month ago). Over the past few weeks we have had difficulty in getting essential medicines and products for households and workplaces due to this pandemic. We have tried our best to keep up with demand and ensure that we could do our best to supply products tha...t you were not able to purchase in other places. Our number one role is to ensure the safety of our staff and community to the best of our ability. That being said we have had to use other suppliers to ensure that we can get essential products today and not in six weeks’ time. Please understand that pharmacy is facing short supply of many critical lines, products that we used to have an abundance of, are now very scarce such as: - Hand Sanitizers - Masks - Antibacterial Wash - Alcohol Wipes - Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Oil - Paracetamol/ Ibuprofen - Ventolin/ Asmol - Toilet Paper - Cleaning products & - Some other essential pharmaceutical lines To provide you with the best care, we have chosen to act accordingly and not wait for our regular suppliers who have lead times of 4-12 weeks for products. We have done this because we want everyone to be safe, our staff, our community, our schools and your workplaces. Everyone is important and everyone should have access to these critical products. However, in light of this everyone needs to understand that this comes at a cost. Products such as hand sanitiser and facial masks we were purchasing 4-6 times cheaper than what we are purchas-ing for now. We do not like the fact that we have had to purchase these items at a much higher cost. We have always ensured that our products are reasonably priced and competitive. 16.01.2022 COVID-19 BUSINESS UPDATE Dear Community, We are all feeling the profound impact the COVID-19 virus is having on our daily lives.... At Pharmacy Nutrition Warehouse, the health and well being of our customers as well as all our staff members, is our number one priority. We have and will continue to take all the necessary steps and precautions in this regard as the situation continues to evolve, to ensure that safety and health for everyone comes first. We have installed sanitisers upon entry to the pharmacy and we ask all customers to sanitise their hands prior to entering the pharmacy. We have adjusted our dispensaries and till areas with additional benches that create the necessary social distance so everyone is keeping the safe distance while visiting our stores. We have placed markings on the floors to highlight the 1.5 metre mark, to assist all customers while shopping with us in order to maintain a safe distance between each other. Our staff members are wearing masks and gloves during their shifts which are disposed safely after the end of their shifts and they sanitize their hands regularly and as required during their working hours. We are sanitizing all our dispensary benches, till areas regularly throughout the day as well as our pharmacy floors daily with specialized products. It’s important to remember we will get through this crisis only by working together. Please stay safe and well.
