25.01.2022 Simultaneous Christmas services - booking ahead advised Dear fellow parishioner, For the moment, some Covid restrictions are still in force which will affect Christmas services. In order to maximize the number of people who can attend and keep below the allowed maximums, the following arrangements will apply:... There will be simultaneous services in the church and the hall on both Christmas eve (6pm, January 6) and Christmas day (9am, January 7) i.e., there will be two priests and two choirs officiating on both days. The Slavonic service will take place in the Church while, at the same time, the English service will take place in the hall. Due to the expected high demand, to avoid disappointment people will need to book ahead for these services. They will then also need to be present at the start of the service otherwise their booking will lapse after 20 minutes. For bookings call: Luba Cowall (0411 090 550) or Jonathan Page (0413 174 500) or contact a parish council member at the candle stand next Saturday (January 2) or Sunday (January 3). While we are reluctant to impose these arrangements, they will only apply for the Christmas services at this stage. Ian Smith (secretary) 28 December 2020

25.01.2022 The December to early January timetable is up on the website. We are hoping and praying for restrictions to be further eased from Monday week, which will allow us bigger numbers at church for Saint Nicholas (19 December) and of course Christmas (the Nativity of our Lord, 7 January). Please note, we are currently permitted to have 80 people in church - there is no booking system, it's the first 80 people through the door. Father Nicholas Karipoff notes that this might get people into the habit of arriving earlier for services

23.01.2022 As there is no Russian school tomorrow, liturgy for Saint Nicholas Day will commence at 9am (not 9.30am).

23.01.2022 And finally, some good news for those who have missed church! Our church is open for 80 attendees at every service. There will be two liturgies on Sundays. The Slavonic will start slightly after 10 am to allow the church to be aired out and for the attendees of the English service time to leave the premises. Please sign in with your name and telephone number when you enter church. You do not need to book in advance to attend services.

23.01.2022 Position Vacant The Church requires a part-time cleaner. The duties will normally take several hours per week at an hourly rate of $25. Position details can be supplied upon request.... Please contact Father Nicholas Karipoff (0418 546 911) or the secretary (Ian Smith: 0421983691) if you are interested and available. Please note that cleaning is required to start immediately and will involve the entire facility

20.01.2022 Message from Father Nicholas Karipoff - I have received a message that someone is scamming on WhatsApp using my name and photo. This is about PIN numbers on Google Play that I supposedly want to give to a cancer patient. I have actually left WhatsApp in the last week... (Rev) Nicholas Karipoff

We hope and pray that this is indeed only a five-day lockdown here in Victoria. Very heartbreaking to cancel the English liturgy and Sunday school today and shut the church doors yet again. The full timetable for February / March will be published online tonight and shared here. God bless and s prazdnikom.
