23.01.2022 Maria Krystyna Janina Skarbek, OBE, GM, also known as Christine Granville, was a Polish agent of the British Special Operations Executive during the Second World War. She became celebrated for her daring exploits in intelligence and irregular-warfare missions in Nazi-occupied Poland and France. She was one of the most accomplished Allied spies of WW2 and the real life inspiration for the character Vesper Lynd in Ian Flemings Casino Royale.
