25.01.2022 Evening everyone. I’m still here! Sorry I have been a little mia from facebook lately. I have been working like a little maniac behind the scenes developing a complimentry service Restore Womb Therapy which will be opening after lockdown. I am extremely excited to bring this to our beautiful community and you can find an introduction to those services on my website and on insta @restorewombtherapy. I will get a blog up explaining all about it soon.... I am also excited to make another collab announcement in the coming few weeks. Of course there have still been lots of beautiful Mamas having beautiful babies too and they are and continue to be my priority. I am so grateful for what this year has bought me despite covids attempt to shut it all down. Really, I just wanted to let everyone know, I am still very much an active Doula and I would love to support you if you are in need of some extra cheerleading, love and respect. Watch this space...more exciting news to come.

25.01.2022 Emotional Rollercoaster Emotions impact our bodies in a physical way. We all know about getting butterflies in your tummy when we feel nervous or excited.... When we have big, long lasting emotions without closure, our body stores that emotional impact somewhere in the body with a physical symptom. For a lot of women (including young adolescences) our reproductive and digestive health takes the brunt of that impact showing up as conditions such as IBS, endometriosis, menstrual headaches etc. At Restore Womb Therapy, we take a holistic approach to your physical symptoms to assist you in achieving lasting results.

24.01.2022 Understand how your emotional health is impacting your menstrual, reproductive and digestive health.

22.01.2022 If you want predictable, healthy, pain free menstrual cycles, if you need assistance with a fertility or if you'd like to dissolve the memories of trauma your body is holding on to; come and see me and allow yourself the opportunity to get healthy, meaningful, therapeutic massage support. Restore Womb Therapy is open for business http://popbellies.com.au/restore-womb-therapies/

19.01.2022 New Blog. Inspired by a conversation with a Mama client with a desire to understand what labour feels like.

19.01.2022 Good Morning! How has everyones ISO Easter been? This has been the first year in my entire life that I have been at home for an Easter weekend. It feels very different for our family!... I have a question for you all; What do you / did you most want from your labour and birth experience? If you are currently pregnant, what thoughts are consuming you the most? If you are a parent, what have you found the trickiest thing to adjust to in the last month? You can comment below or send me a direct message with your answers.

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone I am really excited to share with you all a brand new addition to my Popbellies services. Introducing ...... RESTORE WOMB THERAPY This beautiful modality honours the essence of a woman from Adolescence to Menopause. Womb Therapy is a holistic way of understanding and restoring the health of the womb space. Massage is commonly understood to help relieve sore, tight and overworked muscles. Applying the same principles, we use massage therapies to unwind the tension surrounding the reproductive and digestive systems. Life experiences, daily stress, malnutrition, trauma and emotional heritage can all impact the womb health. Restore Womb Therapy, aims to encourage the harmony of hormones through gentle adjustments, deep tissue work and education. In a safe and remedial setting, we can give back love to the womb space Look out for my next post on how to arrange an appointment.

17.01.2022 When should I book my Restore appointment ?? For menstrual issues, we will tailor the treatment to suit where you are up to in your cycle no matter when you come. Ideally, to get the best out of the deep tissue womb work, if you can time it for the week after period that would be wonderful. ... No treatment is wasted, and once we have done your initial assessment I can help you schedule your follow up treatments to suit the needs of your body.

15.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone. It has come to my attention that some of the posts that have been circulating for the Restore Womb Therapy treatments had a dodgy "book now" link on them. I am REALLY sorry for the frustration of that experience for you all. This has now been restored (I hope!) There are still bookings available for this week, any hassles please DM me or send me an email at [email protected].... See you soon x

12.01.2022 In the wee early hours of this morning, one of my beautiful Mama clients was ready for me to come and support her through her labour. We had been told yesterday that I would no longer able to enter the birth suite at @barwon_health with her and her partner due to the new COVID19 restrictions. Disappointed, gutted and frustrated, we had to make a new plan. So we did. I want to support the decisions made by the health departments but I can’t help but feel they are a little misg...uided with this particular restriction. Doulas are part of the birth team, not just an additional support person. Nevertheless, they are working tirelessly to keep the world, and those brand new in it, as safe as possible and I respect that whole heartedly. Labouring beautifully in the comfort of her home, she trusted her instincts, trusted the process and followed her body’s lead. After spending as much time at home as possible we arrived, ready with a new plan. We will be heading home again as soon as possible with their new wee bundle of love in arms where I will continue to support them to navigate all the newness of parenthood. None of these changes change the fact that it is an absolute honour and privilege to be a part of someones birthing story. As I sit in the waiting room, I am excited for her birth to unfold and still devastated that as a Doula, after spending 7 months working together to create a positive birth experience, I can not physically continue to support them in these final moments. Coronavirus you’re a beast! This virus was clearly not in anyones plan but birth can still be beautiful during all this chaos. The creation of a woman’s body is nothing short of genius! #niceworkGod If you would like some additional adapted support during this crazy time, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Every birth day is a good day. Big love to all the Mamas to be out there Beth x

07.01.2022 So here's the thing, not everyone is finding this iso business tough. There are in fact, a large number of people who are absolutely living the dream. This #stayhome movement is proving to be a much needed #staycation . If you happen to be one of them, Yay! Lets be happy for us. No, we are not happy for the tragedy of lost lives around us and the reason for the isolation in the first place, but it's also ok to be ok. 03.01.2022 With all the excitement around 'Restore' opening, I wanted to make sure all our expecting couples are not feeling left out. Restrictions have left many Mamas with lots of questions. Here you will find my top tips for a confidence building conversation. http://popbellies.com.au//five-ways-to-get-comprehensive-/

03.01.2022 This beautiful Mama is one of the many who gave birth during this years pandemic. We had to change our plans to respect the new social guidelines. During her early postpartum days she expressed to me her grief over being unable to share her newest little love with those closest to her, including her family. During these times, it has been an absolute honour to give this tender loving care and support that was so desperately needed by new mums. 01.01.2022 Dull ache (or daggers for some) in your lower abdomen and upper thighs is common for most women in the days leading to and during their bleed. Your uterus doubles in weight during menstruation (even heavier if pathologies are present) so it’s not unreasonable. Here’s three things you can do during the month to support your body in achieving pain-free periods.... 1. Regular Womb Massages Receiving regular womb massages will encourage fresh healthy blood flow, correct uterus alignment, release scar tissue and adhesions and reduce stress and tension. These all contribute to the intensity of your pain when left untreated. 2. Castor Oil packs Ancient wound healing practices from cultures all over the world have included using various herbs and plants placed directly over the problem area to draw out and remove toxins. Using those principals, gently warmed castor oil soaked in a wool cloth/flannel and placed directly over your womb with a heatpack can be used to improve assimilations, eliminations, circulation and breaking down scar tissue. You can email me for a pdf of the full instructions on how to prepare and utilise castor oil packs. I will also make it available for subscribers on my website in the coming weeks. 3. Utilise each stage of your cycle I have spoken about the seasons of your cycle in earlier posts and will keep talking about them all day long because they offer so much wisdom. When you respect and understand what your body is doing and what it needs to do in each phase of your cycle, you can learn how to support those stages physically and emotionally. Not only does this naturally reduce the intensity of your period but it also offers you an opportunity to utilise your period fo your advantage. @brightgirlhealth has wonderful resources, particularly for our teens, in explaining anatomically what is going on in each stage, and in our one to one consultations I can expand on how you can actively compliment those stages for your mental/emotional health.
