17.01.2022 Important announcement for next year

17.01.2022 If you’re going to groom your dog at home NEVER use scissors close to the skin. If your dog is severely matted, scissors will not help, you will need clippers to get in between the skin and the matted areas. Only use clippers if you’re confident and pleased be careful. Please just wait until professional groomers are open again if you’re unsure how to use clippers / scissors. Grooming isn’t an easy job, it requires skill and knowledge. Please be careful! This is why groomers should be allowed to be open

14.01.2022 Hello hello! Lucky for me I am on annual leave this week, which gives me time to figure out some things. At this stage I am still very unsure if I am able to stay open or if I have to close, but as soon as I have confirmation I will update you all. For everyone booked in for next week onwards, I promise I will be in touch as soon as I have some answers. Look after yourselves everyone

14.01.2022 In light of today’s announcement, I will be staying closed until further notice. As I’m currently not sure if Grooming falls under step 2 or 3 of the restrictions, all future appointments will be cancelled until I get confirmation that I can open again. If you had a appointment booked for the future, I will be contacting you individually. As for now, I won’t be take any new bookings until I have a date when I can open to avoid re-booking appts every time. Obviously this wasn’t the news I was hoping for, and I can’t wait until I can get back and see all the dogs again

11.01.2022 To all my clients, Unfortunately I was hoping I didn't have to make this post, but due to Stage 4 restrictions I will be closing for 6 weeks. As grooming isn't considered an essential service this is the action I have to take. As disappointing as this is, hopefully by closing this will help slow the spread of this horrible virus.... I understand people have bookings for August / Sep, I will be getting in contact with you all to either cancel or re-book your appt. Please be patient, as there is only one of me, this is a very stressful time as a small business, so your understanding would be much appreciated! If anyone has any questions in regards to maintaining your dogs coat at home or what brushes / tools to buy, (or even if you just need someone to talk to) send them my way and I'll try and help out as much as I can. Stay safe everyone! I'll see you all hopefully sooner rather than later EDIT: I will just be booking clients in for the first two weeks I'm expected to be open, incase it has to be pre-longed. Once the two weeks are booked, I will pop everyone else on a list to get back to closer to September, when we hopefully have more answers.

11.01.2022 Re-opening information: With a promising reopening date of 28th September, this is obviously amazing news! Please be patient, as I am receiving such an overwhelming amount of messages, so bare with me. APPOINTMENTS: ... My first priority will be rescheduling all the cancelled appointments that weren't able to go forward due to the Stage Four Lockdown. At this point in time, I am not taking any new bookings after I've rescheduled the cancelled ones. Reason being, opening again is relying on how many cases are present and therefore I will have to try and cancel / reschedule an enormous amount of bookings, if this arises if the date of opening gets pushed back. I do have a waitlist, which is growing quickly, so first in best dressed kind of scenario. I will not be taking on any new clients for the rest of the year, so I can try and fit all my regulars in. If you're on the waitlist, I will be contacting you closer to opening date and booking all your appts in then. I get that so many dogs are in need of grooming, and I will do my best to fit in as many as I can. I am a one person business, so there is only so many dogs I can take on. If your dog is in need of an urgent groom, & you don't think they can wait a few weeks after opening date, your best option may be to take them to another groomer this time round, one that has multiple groomers and can cater to many more dogs a day. But like I said, I will try my best to fit everyone in as soon as I possibly can. GROOMING: Your dog may not be able to get your desired groom this time around, as I'm sure I'll be dealing with a lot of knotty/matted dogs. So please be aware of this. Thank-you to everyone for being so understanding and your support means the world. I can't wait to get back to work and seeing all the dog's faces again!

10.01.2022 So I still don’t have concrete info to give. However, it’s looking like I probably will be able to open next week as it doesn’t specifically state home based groomers. I can provide a contactless click and collect and I am considered retail as I provide a service and as my grooming room is completely separate to the house with a seperate entry, I’m confident there should be no issues. Once more in depth documents are released for businesses, (hopefully by tomorrow) I will be able to give clearer information and answers. I was hoping today’s press conference would provide clarity, but unfortunately, it has not. Again, I’ll be in contact with those who have bookings as soon as I have more info. Thanks

08.01.2022 Hi everyone. It’s with a very heavy heart to announce there is a very high chance I won’t be able to open on the 28th Sep. Home based groomers and mobile are legally not allowed to operate until the 28th Oct at this point. Only retail facilities are allowed to open eg. Petbarn, PetStock etc, which will open on the 28th Sep. This is just as disappointing & frustrating for me as It is for you, and I couldn’t be more upset with this outcome. There is still a slight chance things... might change in a week, but I wanted to make a post now for those whose dogs are in desperate need of a groom & still might be able to get into a retail groomer if booked in ASAP. I will keep you all updated, and I’ll be in touch with those who I did rebook over the next few days. Hopefully the next time I post it will be a celebratory post of being able to open end of Sep rather than October See more

05.01.2022 Another post I really don’t want to make Dan Andrews confirmed today that home based groomers cannot open. So as of today I’ll be closing until further notice. Hoping for a opening date of the 19th Oct. So again if you were booked in your appt unfortunately is now cancelled. If your dog is desperate and you’re able to take them to another groomer, I completely understand! I’ll be in contact with those who had future bookings. I’m so sorry for all this muck around and trust me I’m just as disappointed as you all are. See you all sometime in October
