24.01.2022 Well done to the athletes who competed in Athletics SA State Championships, competing in 100m, 200m, Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Shotput, & Javelin. Several medals were pick up & congrats to Rohan on his first State Champs with a PB run in the 200m and making the finals.

22.01.2022 The Aboriginal Athletics program is a great opportunity to have fun and improve fitness over the summer months and learn skills in running and improving technique. There is also throwing (discus, javelin & shotput) and jumps (high & long). Participants can come for fun and fitness or can also participate in competition with Little Athletics ( Under 11’s) or Athletics SA (12 yrs & over). ... We have 4 great coaches & the program is free & uniform is provided. Mondays & Wednesday’s 5-6pm at Port Adelaide Athletics Club. Ages 9 years & up.

20.01.2022 Port Adelaide Athletics Club Season Presentation is unfortunately postponed but today the Major trophy winners were announced via video link. Athletes will officially received there trophies at the clubs ‘150th’ Celebration later this year. We are incredibly proud that 3 athletes from our Aboriginal Squad won ‘Best Athlete’ trophies in their Age groups! Well done Aquel Rankine, Temaana Sanderson-Bromley & Phoenix Spicer

18.01.2022 Aboriginal squad members at All Schools Athletics State Championships. Just the start of the season & for some only a couple of weeks of training & we had Pb’s in the 200m, 400m, Shotput, Javelin, & Hammer Throw, finals in 200m & 400m and a Silver Medal.

10.01.2022 Today was the Presentation & 150 Years Celebration of Pt Adelaide Athletics Club. (Delayed event due to COVID) We had 3 of our Aboriginal Squad members win Best Athlete for their Age Groups * Aquel Rankine - Under 14 * Temaana SandersonBromley - Under 16... * Phoenix Spicer - Under 18 Aquel Rankine was also a part of the team that won the Athletics SA Sprints Cup. Temaana Sanderson-Bromley & Kosta Katianos also were a part of the Athletics SA Under 16 Premiereship

09.01.2022 The Athletics season has started & the first Interclub competition is this Saturday. We look forward to seeing some of our squad out there.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Temaana, Rowan & Kosta who were part of the Athletics SA Under 18 Premiership winners. These guys, along with other Under 18 boys from PAAC, competed at SA Interclub competitions, and won the most points in SA for their age group Temaana collected the trophies on behalf of Rohan & Kosta who were unable to be there today at the club presentation.

06.01.2022 Our Aboriginal Squad coaches who have lots of experience in Athletics; * Tjimarri Sanderson-milera is the Sprint coach and has many years experience competing here in SA & Qld including being in the Australian team at the Oceania Games. * Zachary Scott is running/jumps coach and is the current State Champion in Under 20 Hurdles & High Jump.... * Temaana Sanderson-Bromley is the Throws coach with experience in Hammer Throw, Discus, Javelin & Shotput. He is the current Under 17 Hammer Throw State Champion. * Aimee Van Der Hulst is the Jumps coach with experience coaching high jump, long jump & triple jump. She is an Open State Champion in High Jump.
