25.01.2022 I just finished making this 21st Birthday sign on in 6 days I turn 45 just a bit past 21 and I’m not sad about it. The thinks I thought I knew back then I’m now a bit older and feel I know very little at all but learn more everyday. can’t wait to see what the second half of my life teaches me. 23.01.2022 While I'm sitting in my car with my granddaughter, outside King Edward waiting for her mum, who is inside visiting and feeding Greyson, I thought I'd give you a update and thank you all for your support and we'll wishes. Greyson is doing really well. He is still in hospital and hasn't been able to meet his big sister yet, but hopefully he will soon. I was blessed enough to be able to give him a cuddle just before the anoncment that due to coronavirus only parent are now allo...wed in. Amongst everything I've been able to sneak off to my workshop just enough to get a few orders done and sent out. It's times like this I'm reminded how blessed I am to be doing something I love. Because it doesn't seam like work, kind of more like therapy keeps me keeping on. I'm actually itching to get some time, (once caught up on orders) to create a sign that will incorporate a gift I received from my inloves. (I dislike the word in-laws) and a promise from God that I've been speaking over us all as we journey this time together. So keep an eye out for that. 21.01.2022 Does anyone else work on the floor like this or is it just me Ive alway driven my mum crazy since I was a kid. She is so organised and everything is always in its place. Then theres me she must secretly love it after all Im all grown now and have my own place but she still got dads shed extended so I could work there got to love a mothers heart.

19.01.2022 Funny how things happen. I haven't made many of these log ring cushion holders and then this week I get 2 ordered. This might have something to do with the fact I don't have them listed very often. It's hard to find nice logs that are the right size and we're the bark will stay on. That being said if anyone is cutting there bottlebrush or peppermint trees or and tree with nice wood, living near Morley and have logs around this size could you please let me know Thanks

17.01.2022 Today was take your Auntie to work day at Saw Dust Art Auntie Chrissy is one of five girls no brothers. She has had nearly no experience with power tools, however I do remember she did do some amazing stain glass work when I was little its dangerous working with glass and auntie Chrissy had a bad experience. That only makes what she did today more of a accomplishment. First up nail gun then Routing her drawer fronts and finished up with a blast on the spray gun. 14.01.2022 Fear...I remember when I first started using the router. I was so unsure and fearful there was so much I didnt know. What I have learnt is at some point you just have to have a go. Read and watch YouTube and get some understand for safety. Then go for it. If you dont you will never know what you are capable of and your dreams will stay just that. What Ive found is dreams are best lived.

14.01.2022 What a lovley sight. I still have to pinch myself sometimes as its so surreal. I started this business as a single mum on centerlink I'm grateful for the help the government provided but I was so excited when I heard about the NEIS programme that centerlink was introducing. For those who had an idea and wanted to start there own business. It amazes me that I have no real qualifications. I just know I love to create and bless people with the items I make. I still don't really know how to run a business all that marketing stuff and rules on posting on social media do my head in. But by the grace of God 12 years later and I'm no longer on centerlink and still at it creating and receiving orders thanks to all of you

11.01.2022 Last week I had myself a little holiday. I took the whole week off. Anyone who knows me knows that's unheard of. I really enjoyed myself spending time with this handsome man (my hubby) while his parents visited for Sydney. But all good things come to a end, and this week im back at it filling all the orders that came in. I'm so blessed to be able to work for myself doing what I love, Creating!! thank you for making it possible your support means more than you know.

11.01.2022 Sometimes you have to get creative with packaging when sending items in the post. I built a wood framed cage out of scrap to protect this cake stand in the post. Here's praying it arrives safely. I know how disappointing it can be to eagerly awaiting a package only for it to arrive damaged. I try my best to not have this happen to any of my customers.

10.01.2022 Im so excited. I have dreamed about doing this for a so long that when I walk into my workshop I see it already done now its happening Im actually doing it some may think Im Im crazy as its a shed and my work is very saw dusty. I mean thats why Im called Saw Dust Art after all. But I dont care if I thought of as crazy. Im lining my shed with white walls and ceiling then Im going to cover the metal beams with wood so they look like wood beams the end result will be a country farmhouse styled workshop. It want all get done straight away this will be a process but we are well underway.

08.01.2022 Well Im back from my Lovely holiday and I have a new found pep in my step. Marty and I had such a beautiful time together I have to say while I was looking forward to it I was also a little apprehensive about it you see Marty has been in @shalomhouseperth for the last 12 months thats a rehabilitation centre here in Perth, and while I know I love Marty and know God put us together are marriage hasnt been easy we have had some real testing times including times of separate ...because we were Causing more destruction for each other then we like to admit. Marty has been through a number of rehabs and Ive seen a few Counsellors. We both have learnt a lot over the 12 years and none of it has been a waste of time. But we could never find a program that helped both of us together then we found @shalomhouseperth when Peter says its a program like no other he means is. Marty and I have both been apart of the couples group and learnt so much but we still have a lot to learn so I was a little scared about how or 5 day away together would go. Knowing I had support of people at Shalom and that they were only ever a phone call away we set out. Im so glad we did Marty and I took the time to see each others heart. Before leaving we were given this advice have no expectations just enjoy whatever comes that was the best advice ever. Ill be sharing pictures of little treasures I found and some work from amazing Wa artists over the next little bit. But above is a keepsake box I made before I left I just love the verses on it so true. See more

08.01.2022 I sometimes find myself setting little chalanges. Today's challenge is to see how many orders I can get complicated. I've had personal appointment that have been limiting my time to get work done, and with lots of last minute wedding orders I've found myself getting all flustered. The best way for me to work through times like this is to remember the things I've already accomplished set a chalange and go for it :) Enjoy your day

07.01.2022 I finally got back to my workshop today. I love being in this space and have missed it. I didn't realise just how much till I opened the door and started playing. Ahhh that's what I needed. The heart ring box I'm holding here normal isn't as deep as this, but for this order I've been asked if the ring can stand. So I've made it deeper and will add foam with a velvet top and slit in it for the ring to stand proudly as the proposal is made. Oh how exciting

07.01.2022 While away in York I found me some little treasures. While I find all these things beautiful as they are and each of them gave me a little moment of joy when I first saw them, i love to see them as paint splotches on my artist pallet. From here I can take them and find ways to add them to my everyday life. Not just as clutter but as items I can use and enjoy. They also serve as a reminder of good times had with loved ones. In this way they to me become like a living journal or a diary of my heart out on display where I can see it and can choose to invite those around me to read if they so wish to. If you would like to read my diary stay tuned as I show you what Ive done with each little treasure and the joy they bring me :)

Just me and Hubby last time we had time away just the 2 of us with no other agenda than to relax was for our honeymoon nearly 12 years ago. Thats a marriage tip I dont recommend we are both so in need of this
