21.01.2022 We have been open over 12 months now and it is going really well. We have received great feedback from our guests. We get a lot of repeat customers and guests who plan their trip to stay again on their way back home. Most are impressed by the rooms with many commenting that this is the best place they have stayed on their travels. And we meet some really interesting and special people. Great conversations with many guests and hearing their story/work/passion is always interes...ting. The first 12 months has flown by and hard to believe that the Crossroads ECOMOTEL is up and running and is now a viable business. 12 months to plan, 12 months to build and now 12 months of operation. We are top rated on Trip Advisor and Booking.com for Accommodation in Port Augusta and most of our business has come from the old social media - just people talking to their friends and others they meet on the road. One couple told me they chose to stay here based on a conversation they overheard at Uluroo. Have to say that running a motel is harder than I thought. Not that it is hard or even difficult, just constant work with always important things to be done. Easy to fill in 12-14 hours a day everyday! The next 12 months will be focused on marketing, especially getting our website and social media working for us.
