23.01.2022 Just popped some carrots and cucumber fresh from the community garden on the grow free cart. There are also pears, peaches and other goodies on it. Our tomatoes aren’t too far from ripening, so keep an eye out next time you come to Port Fairy Community House.

Port Fairy Community Garden at Port Fairy Community House is YOUR space, there's no private plots and folks are welcome to wander through and pick a handful of deliciousness whenever it's available. Taking what we need and leaving enough for other wonderful folks is a great way to build on the spirit of community we're working to provide so come down and add some garden fresh goodness to your dinner tonight. . Oh! And don't forget our little working group meets each Monday from 10am-12pm (ish) and we could really use your smiling faces and community spirit on board! This can include: Offering assistance- shopping, IT support, babysitting... Asking for assistance Excess supplies Supplies needed Helping to identify and assist elderly, isolate or vulnerable members of the community Links to relevant content Local closures and cancellations Changes to business opening times, operations and offerings. Current recommendations The Port Fairy Coronavirus Info & Assistance Group is an initiative of Port Fairy Community House. It encourages positive conversation and sharing of information. Thanks everyone, together we can hopefully make it easier to get through this difficult time! Please join and invite other local friends.

15.01.2022 If you get a chance, come for a wander through the Port Fairy Community Garden and see the exciting progress we’re making. We have new compost bays underway, lots of mulch spread to keep the weeds down and the garden beds have been topped up in readiness for planting. We welcome our new members who have just joined us but we are always happy to have more, so if you’re interested we meet every Monday morning at 10am. Everyone is welcome.

We both have strong backgrounds in Horticulture, design and permaculture and would love to share our skills and experience with you. Please join us on Monday mornings at 10am at the Community garden, just beside the Community House, to come together to help develop this beautiful garden space and to meet like minded people, learn new skills in production gard...ening and produce organic food. 04.01.2022 Don't forget about our Children's clothing swap coming up this Saturday at 2pm. We're putting a call out for more Primary Age children's clothing so please spre...ad the word and then get stuck into those cupboards & drawers for a clean out. Note: Clothing must be clean and in excellent condition. Drop the clothing off at the Community House before Saturday (any time from 8.30 - 2) to receive your tokens which you will then use to 'buy' more clothing. What a great way to get a new wardrobe for your kids, save money as well as helping the planet by reducing landfill & giving some much loved clothing a new home.
