24.01.2022 Firstly a big apology to all followers- my computer, in its wisdom, decided to link my personal FB account to the Bowling Club which meant if a Number 32 bus hit me, end of bowling club account as well as me. Since there was no workaround, I created a new FB account as Pt Pirie Bowling Club and have sent friend requests from this. All future posts will be on the other FB account and this page will be deleted in the near future after you have all had a chance to bash me.

07.01.2022 Bowls SA are in discussions with the Port Pirie Council to bring a Bowls Fest to Pt Pirie which will be a week-long celebration of bowls providing opportunities for event participation, accreditation and club development across the week. Thank you for your preliminary agreement to assist us in hosting these events across the week from October 28th-31st. As discussed we will be able to provide more information in the lead up to the festival on specific events being hosted at the requirements of the club but this allows us to confirm the event and begin further planning. Bowls SA also advised included in the weeks activities there will be a two day Over 60s tournament, coaching clinics and other training courses as part of the week.

07.01.2022 Mid North STARCLUB are coordinating a free ‘Cultural Diversity & Inclusive Sporting Club’ workshop on Wednesday 15th May at the Port Pirie Golf Club. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from and work with industry specialist Renee Singh on how to ensure your club is inclusive and welcoming to new members, of all demographics and cultural backgrounds. Attending this workshop will allow you to improve your understanding of cultural diversity and what being inclusive means, which will allow clubs to tap into and appeal to new members and volunteers which may have previously not been involved or aware of your club. Following the workshop clubs I can work closely with your club to implement these techniques and strategies.
