We welcome you to join us in learning about the language ...and stories of the oldest living culture on earth. Of the Peek Whuurrong dialect of the Gunditjmara-Maar Nations, the lands on which our towns exist. Filmed this winter, along the coastline of Port Fairy, Ngatanwarr stars proud Peek Whuurrong Elders Uncle Rob Lowe Snr and Uncle Locky Eccles. Peek Whuurroung woman Mel Steffensen was co-producer with filmmaker Mitchell Withers. Together, they encourage us to be curious and proactive in learning about the true history of Maar Nation and the shared future that lies ahead. Thank you to the Uncles for sharing their experiences and teaching us language.
