07.01.2022 A great Mariners flavour in today’s ABL game between the Melbourne Aces & Canberra Cavalry @ Melbourne Ballpark. Current Mariner Darryl George playing Short Stop for the Aces is absolutely on fire with the bat picking up 6 hits over the weekend including 3 doubles & a Home Run, Last seasons Mariners MVP Billy Parsons (now playing Div 1 with Sunshine) coming into the game as a relief pitcher for an inning for the Cavalry,... also former Mariner Junior Reece Longstaff currently with Div 1 Waverley (son of Mariner greats Kane Longstaff & Terina Stokes & Grand Son of Mariner Hall of Famer Kevin Longstaff) got the opportunity to play the full game at Right Field for the Cavalry picking up his first hit in the ABL, Reece is also heading over the College in the USA later in the season. Well done to all the boys & all the best for the remainder of the ABL & VSBL season
