23.01.2022 We seem to be having a few questions about Santa's lolly run this year so we've spoke to Santa's little elves and they reckon he should arrive from the North Pole ready to start his journey at 3:30pm on Christmas eve (hopefully Rudolph can find his way!). He hopes to see as many people about as he can before he starts his Christmas deliveries, so please like and share this post to get the message out there! UPDATE: The lolly run starts around 3.30 and goes to Squeaking Point then back to Port Sorell, around Shearwater then up to Hawley and finishes along Alexander St. We stop halfway through for more lollies and a short break and should be finishing by about 9.30 pm.

23.01.2022 Tonight the Port Sorell Fire Brigade honed in on some vital skills required when responding to alarm calls at premises. These kind of calls can be quite frequent, so it is important that we execute them as smoothly and safely as possible. Good work to all those involved!

Please note that state legislation prohibits any property under 2000m2 to burn - The Latrobe Council's Environment Health Officer can assist with providing alternative methods of fuel reduction.

01.01.2022 From 2am Thursday 31 October fire permits are required statewide for anyone wishing to burn on their property. TFS permit officers issue permits with clear con...ditions that will ensure any burn is conducted as safely as possible. Fire permits offer a certain level of protection when landowners adhere to the fire permit's conditions.
