22.01.2022 Do you ever find yourself in a situation and you say to yourself: ‘How did I get here?’ This week, I found myself in a store with two different shoes on. I looked down and my first thought was ‘Wow, how did that happen?’. My second thought was ‘Oh, should I change? I have shoes in the car’ and my third thought was ‘Ha, how funny!’... I could have chosen any of these thoughts to focus on and I chose the last one. By focusing on that thought my thinking went down a path of ‘This is funny; - and I bet no-one else notices and if they do, then I hope they think it’s funny too.’ I went on to finish my shopping in two different shoes. Because we have amazing brains, we have many different thoughts in each situation presented to us. We can choose which thoughts to focus on. What kind of thoughts are you choosing to focus on? How is that helping or hindering you? What thoughts make your life more enjoyable?

05.01.2022 When was the last time you lay down and looked at the sky? This really simple thing brings such lovely feelings of calm and awe! I remember being a child and lying in the cool grass and watching the clouds roll by. If I was lucky, birds would fly overhead. Sometimes, we’d play a game to see what images the clouds made. ... Can you take time to notice the beauty in the sky and the wonder of clouds?
