12.01.2022 ***What is Passive Income and Why We Want It?*** Robert Kiyosaki explains passive income very clearly in his book Rich Dad Poor Dad". In Rich Dad Poor Dad, his own father who was a teacher, worked 9-5 all his life, earning a wage, never realising that he needed to save and leverage what he earned. So he retired relatively poor. Kiyosaki contrasted him with his fathers friend, a family friend, his Rich Dad, who was an entrepreneur. 07.01.2022 ******Are You Exchanging Time For Money?***** In his second book, The Cashflow Quadrant Robert Kiyosaki identifies 4 quadrants that he puts people into. People in the two quadrants on the LEFT side, exchange time for money.... In the top left quadrant are people who have a job. That is, some-one employs them for a certain amount of time per week for a certain amount of money, either wages, salary or even hourly rate! In the bottom left quadrant, are people who own their own business, but really own a job, because if they arent there working, no money is coming in. Theyre not called self-employed for nothing! They create businesses which are run by others (the top right quadrant), or have investments that create income (the bottom right quadrant) whether theyre there or not! That is Passive Income.
