10.01.2022 While vaccination programs have, unfortunately, been paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, polio workers are being redeployed to track the coronavirus and reduce... its spread, as well as continuing as best they can to monitor and minimise the spread of polio. "To mitigate the spread and preserve crucial progress made, GPEI will continue its polio surveillance activities to monitor the evolution of the situation and return in full force to eradication efforts as soon as it is safe to do so."
