22.01.2022 Helping you means your helping her There is no shame in reaching out to get support from a Lactation Consultant So many times I have parents reaching out stating I’m at my wits end or I don’t know what else to do Help is only a phone call away so please don’t leave it until you’re desperate exhausted and about to give up. Allowing services, friends and family to be with you on this journey is enabling the people who care to show how much they care for YOU ... Reach out and allow the journey to be shared. You are not alone See more

22.01.2022 So excited to have started back doing home visits This six day old bub has a tongue tie that is making it difficult to latch. Despite this (and a referral has been made to get it corrected) educating parents on how to create a deep latch is still so very important. When you know that mum is feeling instant relief when putting baby to the Breast you know it’s going to reduce the trauma. Due to the tongue tie it’s not uncommon for baby to slip off and back to to the base of the nipple and ouch the pain starts to happen again so keeping your hand there to support the breast until the tie is corrected can be one way of managing feeding. Not ideal but better than the pain felt before

16.01.2022 It was Soooo good to be back @bangalow_bub_hub today and what a way to start the new term so great to see all the mummas and bubbas again, share some morning tea and have a chat Thanks to the incredible Hannah Heaney for maintaining such a fabulous group of women and their fitness regime

12.01.2022 There’s nothing like finding a place to rest your weary head There is so much out there on social media about sleep and settling programs for babies. There is no one rule fits all. We all have different temperaments and needs so learn to read your babies tired signs (and not the clock). These signs change as babies grow but tuning into them will assist in ease of going to sleep. ... Repetitive routines and consistent techniques enable baby to become aware of when it is time to go down to sleep See more
