24.01.2022 If you want to feel better (mind, body and soul), you need to come up with a Self-Care Plan. The plan will help you understand your current state of self-care and develop a plan of action to change and improve your behaviours that will in turn improve your overall wellbeing. This model I am suggesting is used by coaches and counsellors alike across the world to help clients overcome behaviours that are not serving them well right not. Please start small (one or two behaviour...s for each column) over a short period of time (week at the time) and tweak it as you go along. So lets start. Grab a piece of paper and draw three columns and write the following titles in each column. Column 1 DECREASE Column 2 ADJUST Column 3 - INCREASE Now, in the first column (decrease), think of behaviours that are currently not helpful (think slightly addictive) that are adding stress to your life and that you can commit to stopping or reducing for the next week (for example, watching news, spending too much time on social media, eating too much sugar or drinking too much alcohol). Write them down in this column. In your second column (adjust), start thinking about your behaviours that are habitual and can be easily amended so that you can improve your life. Once again, these simple behaviours will need to be something you can commit to doing for the next week (for example, no social media after 9 pm or in bed or calling a different friend every day). And finally, in your third column (increase), start thinking about your TLC and what can you do that will help nourish you mind, body and spirit. For example, have a daily walk or yoga few times a week or cook a healthy meal. Please use this as an opportunity to make these small changes as they can make massive difference in a long term. #selfcare #action #counselling #coaching #mindbodyandsould #wellbeing

01.01.2022 In the times of uncertainty, we tend to focus on inevitable negative outcomes, which in a strange way becomes self-fulfilling, self-indulging exercise. Whilst your rational mind understand that these inevitable negative outcomes are just your fears and not the actual facts, keep your fears away by saying to yourself that your predictions are just that, predictions! And not the actual outcomes. So stop focusing on it! Recognise that you cant control something, stay focus ...on the facts of the situation and know its going to be okay. Use affirmations to contradict your fears, so for example, if you are worrying about not having enough money, tell yourself I have all that I need right now. Repeat this affirmation at least 5 times, few times a day. If you need to talk to someone, a life coach or a counsellor can help. #negative #stopcatastrophising #affirmation #lifecoach
