25.01.2022 Saturday mornings done right Four EPV’s !! One Borer truck !! Traffic control !! 12.5mt Pole Replacement !!!

23.01.2022 Sometimes we need to turn the power off to keep the lights on in the long run. Critical maintenance protects lives, prevents damage, and because it’s planned, i...t means our customers have advance warning. We know people are stuck at home under some really difficult conditions working, looking after families, self-isolating and being without power for planned work is particularly frustrating. We’re doing all we can to safely do this essential work as efficiently as possible: our crews want to keep your electricity supply stable, and all our families safe. See more

22.01.2022 This storm has already belted SEQ with 120,000 lightning strikes and brought down at least 30 powerlines. Your kids will be out trick or treating this afternoon.../evening so please be aware of lines down (they could be hidden among tree branches and debris) and if you see them keep everyone away and call triple zero. See more

20.01.2022 Top tip number four is to look up and live and keep away from all powerlines! If you’re digging in your yard, make sure there aren’t any underground electric li...nes before you start. Come along and have a chat to our experts in electrical safety at the Brisbane Home Show this weekend 28 February to Sunday 1 March.

09.01.2022 SPRINGFIELD LAKES UPDATE: If you're in Springfield Lakes and surrounds and your home has suffered severe structural storm damage, for safety reasons, our crews ...will disconnect your home from the grid via the primary fuse and your property will be issued a Form 3. As Kris Ryan explains below, if your property has been issued a Form 3 you will need to contact a licensed electrical contractor to certify your property has had damage rectified and is electrically safe to restore to the network. Your contractor will then contact us and we will reconnect your home to the Energex network. Because of the extensive damage to Springfield Lakes and surrounds many areas will not have power restored until tonight. Overnight our crews have restored power to more than 70,000 homes and businesses and will continue working hard alongside additional crews brought in from Ergon to assist. LIFE SUPPORT CUSTOMERS IN ALL AREAS If you're a registered life support customer NOW is the time to enact your contingency plan by, if required, going to your nearest medical facility or going to a friend or family's home who has power supply. Otherwise call Triple Zero if emergency assistance is required. Stay safe.

08.01.2022 We wish all a very Merry Christmas, stay safe during these crazy times !!

08.01.2022 Hi all, massive storms coming to Ipswich. Please check your solar panels are not damaged after the hail. If you suspect they are damaged, go out side and turn your inverter off. Good luck

07.01.2022 Really wasn’t much left in the way of timber

07.01.2022 STORM DAMAGE POWER UPDATE Springfield Lakes Our crews are making good inroads and the aim is still to have all homes that are not damaged or have been deemed ...safe by an electrical contractor up and running this evening. Our network is operational but with so many homes damaged we must isolate them from the network first to prevent electrocution and fire hazards. Crews continue this work today. Please be aware that some homes are so badly damaged that, for safety reasons, they cannot have power restored until structural and electrical damage has been rectified and signed off by a licensed electrician. We also have staff at the local YMCA if you want to talk to someone face-to-face. Also a reminder that solar panels are not an alternative source of power when the main electricity network is down or they are damaged. So please ensure if your solar panels are damaged that a licensed electrician switches them off at the meterbox and/or at the inverter until they are repaired. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS WORKING IN SPRINGFIELD LAKES When working on storm-affected premises in the Springfield area, please read the Form 3 carefully regarding the Electrical Contractor Actions. If the box is ticked to Re-energise where safe to do so, you are allowed to re-energise the premise and no phone call to Energex is required. If the premise is badly damaged, Energex is recommending that you install an RCD and a GPOs in the Main Switchboard and disconnect all internal circuitry. In this instance, you will be required to sign the bottom of the Form 3 and call Energex to reconnect the premises to the network. Sunshine and North Coasts While access issues and massive trees over the network have hampered our crews’ response, they are still aiming to get most properties back up and running by tonight. There will be some pockets of the worst-affected areas out a little longer, but crews will continue working around the clock to get these properties safely restored. Life support customers in all affected areas If you require powered medical equipment today it is highly recommended you enact your alternative plans such as, if required, visiting your local hospital or medical centre, visit a friend/family’s place who has power or call triple zero in an emergency.

06.01.2022 Something different then pole installs. We had the pleasure to helping Dave Burns place the top blocks onto his Great Wall.

04.01.2022 #noexcuseforabuse Meet Jesse Tuivaiti, Dave Arney and Matt Leach: three of the troops working round the clock to keep you safe and Qld’s power supply secure. We... know people are on edge and it’s tough if the power needs to be off for a few hours, but abusing, threatening and spitting on crews IS NOT OK yes, this actually happened to one Qld team yesterday Just like you, our people want to be home safe with their families at the end of the day. (Especially Jesse: today’s his birthday ) We’re reviewing our plans to get the balance right with essential work while looking after people who are stuck at home during this crisis. Please don’t take it out on our troops in the field or on the phones like everyone, they’re doing their best under difficult circumstances, and we’re all feeling the strain. Qld, let’s get through this together. #covid19 See more
