Our stars of category 1 are...... - Batagor: Sundanese Indonesian fried fish dumplings commonly served with peanut sauce. - Tahu Isi (Stuffed Tofu): Indonesian-styled stuffed tofu is filled with vegetables and coated with a batter that gives the crispy texture. - Mie Aceh (Aceh Noodles): Thick yellow noodles from Aceh (North Sumatra) usually served with chicken, lamb, or shrimp and a little bit of curry soup that gives the spicy kick into it. - Sate Ponorogo: This satay from Ponorogo (East Java) is different from the others as the meat is softer, thinly-sliced, and its special seasoning is left overnight for it to completely soak. English Development Program We have an EOI (Expression of Interest) form for an English Development Program. myUCISS are hoping that this program will benefit your English skills in any way while you are studying in Australia, be it for your social life, work life, and study life. IMPACT Project: Focus Group Study IMPACT project is research about "Exploitation of International Students in Accommodation and at Work". More information about the study can be found here: https://www.mwji.org/information4impact There will be a Focus Group study that will be held in Canberra on 9 April 2019. For this study, the researcher needs at least 12 international students. The focus group discussion will go for 1.5 hours. All participants will receive a $30 Coles Myer voucher. The researcher is a UC graduate, so let's help our Alumni to do her research that will impact our well-being as well! If you are interested to be part of the focus group study that will be held on 9 April 2019, please email us ([email protected]) with your detail and your time availability of the day.

13.01.2022 ANUISA 2019 presents: PASPAMPRES (Pasar, Penampilan, dan Presentasi Budaya) ... This is our biggest event of the year. Happening on the 19th of October, it is an event that combines a classic Indonesian theatrical performance and Indonesian food market. This large event will be split into two, the first-half will showcase "The Struggle for Love" drama, while the second-half will showcase the food in the "Folk Market." "The Struggle for Love Time : 2-4pm Location: Drama Theatre, Kambri, ANU The Struggle for Love is a theatrical performance that takes place during Indonesia's pre-independence period. The drama mainly focuses on the love triangle dynamics between three of Indonesia's national heroes; Wage Rudolf Supratman, Mohammad Yamin, and Siti Sundari, and their journey in fighting for Indonesia's independence. Watch as they defy traditional norms to gain Indonesia’s freedom, as well as their personal freedom. "Folk Market" Time : 4-6pm Location: University Avenue, Kambri, ANU The Folk Market is a traditional Indonesian food and drinks market, filled with fun games and performances. With food and drinks from all over the corners of Indonesia, this is an event that you do not want to miss. For food, we will have Batagor, Soto Ayam, Gado-Gado, Bakso, Bubur Ayam, Martabak Asin, Ubi Goreng, and Pisang Goreng. For drinks, we will have Susu Jahe, Es Cendol, and Es Teh Manis. These are our celebrities for category 2...... - Bakso: Beef, chicken, or fish meatballs usually served with clear beef broth, vermicelli, and noodles. - Soto Ayam: Yellow chicken soup commonly served with vermicelli, thin chicken pieces, fried shallots, and lime. - Gado-Gado: Indonesian-styled salad, served with half-boiled egg, pieces of tofu, tempeh, lontong (compressed rise wrapped with a banana leaf) and topped with peanut butter sauce.
