19.01.2022 How are you encouraging aspiration with your children? As parents we need to be encouraging our children to aspire to reach their full potential. Our greatest gift for our children is to encourage their strengths and passions to guide them towards greater aspirations. Every person is capable of reaching their full potential when they feel safe, happy and are encouraged to be who they are meant to be. Sometimes they need a gentle push to help them realise they are capable o...f more, to go the extra mile and to realise their dreams. Standing on our own two feet is more fulfilling than relying on others or other things to fill the gaps. How we encourage this as parents is one of our greatest roles. Engaging in our children's learning is one way to encourage children to reach their potential. 14.01.2022 Looking forward to hosting my introduction to parent engagement webinar for the parents, leaders and teachers of St John's Mitcham this week - Do families know how much they matter? So much to learn and leverage from the remote learning experience together as partners in learning. This webinar explores the difference between parent involvement and engagement in learning, the various roles we each have to support children's learning and various practical learning at home strategies that impact learning at school.

07.01.2022 Working in partnership with families helps teachers to understand students and how they learn, their family context and how to support them with their individual learning needs. St Mary Magdalen's is one of the schools I work with who consistently demonstrate the importance of partnering with parents, particularly during remote learning at home. We created several videos to highlight and share the many ways the school is walking alongside parents as partners to support children's learning.

05.01.2022 Last year I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute to a wonderful book called 'Our Infinite Power to Heal' by Emily Gowor and Rae Antony. I shared in the book, my journey of how I had become a mum and felt I had somehow lost my identity and who I was as I dedicated much of my time and energy to so many other things except myself. I shared how I was able to find a coach who helped me work through this and find my chosen path; to coach other mums and help them rediscover themselves and who they are, who they aspire to be and how to find happiness in themselves as a whole person. 04.01.2022 One of the wonderful schools I work with provides a broad range of wellbeing support programs for children and families. We recently filmed a number of videos at the school to share their story and the amazing work they are doing with their community of learners.
