23.01.2022 The Chiropractic Board of Australia has released an interim policy regarding the treatment of children. An independent review of the treatment of children with chiropractic is currently being undertaken by Safer Care Victoria. Until the results of this review are known, the Board has issued a notice requiring a ceasing of chiropractic treatment to children 2 years and under. This is a disappointing result as I have provided service to babies and infants for close to 15 years ...now, however I hope that the review that is taking place will find there is benefit for the provision of chiropractic care for infants and babies. As this policy change is at a registration board level, I cannot provide treatment to patients 2 years and under at this time. I do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and I hope that this situation is resolved as soon as possible. Garth See more

As you may be aware, there is a review being undertaken by the Department of Health and Human Services as to the continued provision of chiropr...actic spinal care for children 12 years and under. Paediatrics is a special interest area of mine, and many of you out there have brought your children to the clinic for treatment, or may have even seen me when you were a child yourself. 12 years as a long time, especially given the amount of growth that happens - physically, mentally, emotionally.
