24.01.2022 In response to the challenging circumstances facing primary healthcare, we have released the Risk Stratification Tool (RST). The RST is a new feature in the Inca Chronic Disease Management Platform that identifies patients that are at highest risk of hospitalisation in the next 12 months. As highlighted in our media release, this new digital health feature comes at an ideal time as primary healthcare moves to virtual clinics with a push towards the use of telehealth services.... The launch of this new feature is of enormous benefit to the patient, medical practices and the health system during the current pandemic. Inca allows all carers of the patient to collaborate on the platform like an online multi-disciplinary clinic. The end result is to keep high-risk patients out of hospital and enable them to be managed within the safety of their own home. For more information visit precedencehealthcare.com or call our support team on 1300 236 638. https://www.linkedin.com//urn:li:activity:6656344906149310

20.01.2022 New changes were announced yesterday to bulk billing incentives as a result of COVID-19. This announcement has seen chronic disease management through telehealth services further incentivised. Two new telehealth items are now available for a practice nurse or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner, mirroring items 10987 and 10997. This change will see an increase in telehealth and telephone consultations by practise nurses. Inca assists by allowing GPs... to seamlessly approve or modify GPMP & TCAs that have been developed by a practise nurse. The platform also automatically notifies all members of the care team of any changes to the TCA to foster a collaborative team environment. Reach out to our customer support team for more info on how Inca can support your transition to a virtual clinic. [email protected], 1300 236 638

12.01.2022 The pace of technological change in the 21st century is unprecedented. It would have been hard to imagine in the early 2000's what healthcare would be like in 2020 prior to widespread internet access and innovations in technology. To envision the industry in 2030 requires a view of the opportunities available, while also recognising the risks and challenges associated with change. One thing we can be certain about, is that if we keep working towards technological advancements, Australian healthcare will be radically better in 2030. 05.01.2022 The RACGP and Diabetes Australia have sent an urgent call to all GPs to not take their eye off the ball during this pandemic. An alarming statistic shows HbA1c tests ordered by GPs has dropped by more than 75%. This data suggests that patients with chronic disease are not presenting for medical care in the current COVID-19 climate. GPs must maintain quality chronic disease management to prevent unnecessary hospitalisation and potential disease complications. Inca prevents you...r patients from falling through the cracks.
