25.01.2022 Well that's a bust, time to pack up and go home....rain coming in and visibility is negligible....try again tomorrow! Just goes to show no matter how good the gear is, Mother Nature always has right of way #themsthebreaks #professionalshooter #triggermonkey

25.01.2022 It's been a case of all work no play for the last few months but I'm looking forward to some downtime in the next 6 week's.... might actually even get to go shooting recreationally! Anybody want to take me deer hunting? #7nightsaweek #professionalshooter

24.01.2022 Saying goodbye to my 30s tonight

23.01.2022 You know, even though shooting is my job and some days are pretty ordinary I don't think I'll ever get sick of it! #triggermonkey

23.01.2022 Does your afternoon look this good? #berettatribe #victrixarmaments

23.01.2022 Bit of Boodie action for you captured with the M300 and FLIR camera. Winds were around 30kph which causes that bit of a shake in the footage as the drone hovers. At 50m up and 70m away easily detected and identified. #conservation #australiannativespecies #allaboutdatboodie

22.01.2022 I didn't take any pics yesterday so thanks to the legend @practicalriflesolutions for this snap! From the top: @nightforce_optics NX8 4-32X50 with the Tremor 3 reticle: this is one of the best optics I've used and for the price point of the NX8 you won't find a better package in that price range. Compact and well made, it's not a light weight optic but it will do exactly what it's designed for, give you crystal clear image of your target in any condition and take a beating do...ing it. Even though I also have the Nightforce ATACR 7-35X56 I use the NX8 on my work rifles because the glass is just as good and the base magnification of 4x works perfectly with clip on thermal and nightvision units (more on this later). The zero stop is easy to set and 100% repeatable with firm and tactile clicks with the turrets being generous sized and easy to use whilst using gloves. I generally set the zero stop for the flattest shooting rifle then write down the zero for the other rifles it goes on. I've got complete confidence in the scope and @spuhr mount in that I can swap between rifles and the zero will be good to go. Thanks to @nightforceanz for these optics! The @surgeonrifles 591 is the action I build all my rifles from....it takes an absolute beating, cycles in all conditions and I've never had a fail to feed issue, even in the Simpson with sand in everything! They're made to extreme tolerances and they just work...paired with the @trigger.tech diamond trigger and they're el primo! The @cadexdefence field comp chassis is a great balance between work and comp, solid enough to slam it against barricades or get knocked about in the field you don't have to worry about anything being bent out of shape or working loose, there are torque specs for everything! You can mod this chassis to suit your every need with swap in swap out parts, again all available from the legends at Nightforce Australia. Supported in the @cruxord tripod it makes easy work of tripod shooting. The @accutac FCG2 bipod it the most stable bipod I've ever used, it may not be the fastest to deploy but once it's deployed you're not moving anywhere! #professionalshooter #goodgearaintcheapandcheapgearaintgood See more

21.01.2022 Howdy everyone....been getting smashed with question in the inbox last few weeks and I've been burning the candle at both ends so sorry for the late responses or short answers.....this leads me to my next question....to save time and try and get good oil out there on the gear I use, who would be interested in a regular (say fortnightly etc) Triggermonkey gear chat session? I've got a lot of really cool kit coming from some awesome suppliers in the next few weeks that I'd love to show you and have a chat about. Please keep in mind that these would just be my opinion on the equipment and how I find using them, I'm not a tech guru I'm just a triggermonkey who uses it every night and can only talk about them from that perspective. Drop a comment and tell me what you think yay, nay WOFTAM or otherwise.... Big love.... #triggermonkey

21.01.2022 Chasing some landvandals with the MiniVarmint this morning

18.01.2022 It's been too long since I smacked some red dogs.... here's a throwback to the sako 85 varmint 204 days running the nightforce nxs and the side-shot.

17.01.2022 Been working a job that I can't show you much of or tell you about but it's really cool and it's awesome to be a part of! #conservationshooter #professionalshooter #triggermonkey

13.01.2022 Playing the waiting game...it's a surreal and beautiful yet eerie landscape under a nearly full moon.... #triggermonkey

13.01.2022 Bit of a leak in the shooting eye brought my PRACT shoot to a screaming halt today but it was an awesome course of fire and some great people to shoot with! This is going to be the best club to be a part of can't wait for the next one already! #justabitofblood

13.01.2022 And we're off to chase elusive Mr fox

03.01.2022 Thermal isn't just for night time! The ATN MARS 4 from OSA Australia works day and night with repeatable accuracy and the battery is insane, this unit hasn't been switched on for 3 months and the battery is still full and the zero is still spot on. I've heard ATN copping a lot of flak on some pages lately and I can honestly say that the majority of the the problems these units can have are operator error and not keeping them updated. If they weren't any good, I wouldn't be us...ing them. Simple. Mounted on the Wedgetail Industries WT-15 and QD N338 suppressor this is a .2 mil rifle at 100m with the OSA Buffalo River 55gn sierra blitzking ammo....love it! #triggermonkey #usegoodgeargetgoodresults #professionalshooter #landvandals #thermalshooting See more

03.01.2022 Nice to see the rain has eased off a bit.... made the job pretty difficult so far, being mindful of the property owners land means removing the pest animals whilst having the smallest impact possible on their land so I can't really get into the area without chewing it up and leaving tracks everywhere, has been a lot of walking and looking for sign but other than that very wet and uneventful.....

02.01.2022 Quick 50m zero check on the .22 cal FX Impact.....I messed up the group I had going, purely my fault, so then just decided to slam a few more in.....shows the awesome accuracy of these rifles when you can drop this many pellets this quick into a 'minute-of-pigeon' group #triggermonkey

02.01.2022 Hello there Mr Fox......THWOCK.... Testing some 384 thermal clip on goodness from @osaaustralia initial testing is very promising! Viewed through the @nightforceanz NX8 4-32X50 with the ever impressive @horus_vision Tremor 3 reticle and filmed with the @sideshotscopecam go-to 7 black #deadred #professionalshooter #allthethermals
