22.01.2022 TUESDAY TAXI TRIVIA Did you know that one of the first ever horse-drawn taxi companies in Australia was a Hansom Cab? The horse-drawn taxi service was introduced to Australia in 1849 and was very popular amongst men with a stong social prominence.. There was a popular novel published called "The Mystery of a Hansom Cab" and was later turned into a telemovie in 2012.... There is an original Hansom Cab on display at the Powerhouse Museum in the Transport section.
